Vehicle Detail
Hello, For sale is this 1993 Mercury Tracer Station wagon. (Please see photos for more details) The previous owner was an elderly woman who sold it to my brother. Title is clear, and in his name. The wagon was in tip-top shape until there were some difficult starts, and engine idle. There were no transmission/suspension/electrical/interior issues. After going over the vehicle thoroughly, I replaced the spark plugs, wires, fuel and air filters, hoses, oil and oil filter, as well as all the fuses. I removed the intake, and cleaned it thoroughly; I also added Iso-heet to the tank with about 5 gallons of premium. The car is in solid condition. The car ran great, and then later showed signs of a possible head gasket issue (bubbling coolant overflow). The car was immediately parked. I drained the rad, replaced the fluid, and tried again. Same issue. I used a compression gauge to check the ratio and found loss of pressure, but NO coolant in the head, or detected in the oil. I didn't have the time to replace the head gasket, and as the winter season came in, the car stayed put. It has been parked since about November, but is in otherwise, great condition! Neither my brother or I can now do the repair ourselves, and with other responsibilities, we unfortunately have to sell the car. Please understand, the vehicle is being sold "as-is"-it is not presently running, and can not be driven away, it will have to be towed! If you are able to replace a head gasket, then you've got a bargain on your hands! On the passenger side of the vehicle, the black paint along the door has come off (see photo) and the stuff gathered therein the photo is just plant material from the bushes there. The plastic on top of the rear bumper is cracked from when it was stepped up on to get some items tied to the top rack, but otherwise, no body issues. Thanks for looking, hope this wagon is what you're looking for! Please contact me with additional questions you might have, and I will do my best to answer them as quickly as possible. Acceptable forms of payment are Paypal, US Postal money order, and cash. $350 deposit is required via Paypal, and expected within 48 hours of auction end, wherein the remaining balance must be paid in cash at time of pick-up. Due to recent non-payments, failure to complete transaction will result in a negative report to Ebay, the vehicle will be relisted and the deposit will not be refunded. We are sorry, we cannot ship, or make arrangements for vehicle to be shipped. Thanks again, and good luck!
