Vehicle Detail
1974 FJ40 with a 1966 belair 283 V8: Up for auction is my 1974 FJ, like the title says, it has a 283 Chevrolet conversion with 4 speed. It runs great and all the running gear is mechanically sound, the body is decent for the year. I just replaced the master cylinder, leaf spring bushings and front axle seals. It has the original hard top, I have keys for driver door and rear hatch. The interior is uncut, with the original seats. I have installed earlier model rear jump seats so I could carry my 4 kids and my wife, but have the original rear jump seats. It was my daily driver until I got a company truck and now it sits. I have a bimini top and half doors for it when the top comes off. I had plans of doing a "spring over" conversion and a saginaw power steering conversion, so some pieces will be included. I would love to keep it, but just don't have the time. If you know about Toyota FJ40s', you know these are great off road vehicles and this one is no exception. This one has never failed me. On Apr-14-11 at 20:53:09 PDT, seller added the following information: ADDED 4/14/2011: Due to the high number of requests I added more pictures. I hope this helps. The photo of the underside of the hard top (ceiling?) does not have a headliner. What you see is the adhesive that is still on the hardtop, not rust. Hope the rest are self explanatory. Thanks for your interest.
