Here we have 1 of the most unique vehicles Toyota has ever made, the FJ 40 Land Cruiser, this vehicle has had and extensive 2 year body off restoration, down to every nut and bolt .Vehicle is as clean on top as it is underneath, this vehicle started off as a clean vehicle from the state of California with no rust and no rot. According to the vin it was originally #5 of 100 that came to the United States in 1978 as a plow truck (still has bracket on engine for the plow's pump) switch was removed from the dash and discarded but we cannot located the switch at this time but were still looking. When the body was off we took the frame and went to a local sand blaster along with all the other steel parts and had everything blasted clean, there we noticed 2 small holes in the frame in the back where they always rust, we then welded new steel there to re-enforced the frame, we then took it and primed and painted it with emron gloss black along with the drive axles. All the pieces on the body and/or the frame that were bad have been replaced with NOS and or replacement parts, Now to the body, it was painted the correct code 031 off white (omni paint) the whole body including the under body was painted this code 031, factory, this is the way it came and we duplicated the way the factory did it, try to find another one like this, Good Luck!!! Now the engine, F2 straight six, trans-4 speed, rear end 4:11, these were painted with the correct code and was a base coat clear coat omni paint, engine along with trans and axles have not been rebuilt, still as strong as they were in 1978! No leaks and no burning of oil! The top and doors remove freely as they should, windshield folds down easily with the paint not chipped on the hinges. Here is a small list of what was replaced, I am sure I am forgetting something, but here we go: New rotors and drums and brake lining also included is master cylinder-new starter- rebuilt alternator-new fuel pump-all new suspension bushings including frame bushings-new toyota outside mirrors-all new U joints-new water pump-new dash lights-new Toyota wiper motor-new Toyota door handles-all Toyota marker lights-new Toyota door rubber-new shifter boots-new fuel and brake lines-new toyota window felts and the list goes on and on. As you can see in the pic's this is by far one of the cleanest and most original FJ 40 cruisers that is for sale here on ebay or else where, we pride ourselves on restoring vehicles to their original beauty!! Some say theirs is the best but before you buy theirs come look at this land cruiser and you'll see theirs is not the best, not even close! You think it looks good in the pics? Wait until you see it in person!!! It is really funny how some people say theirs is a true survivor, nothing replaced, come on now, as soon as you replace a tie rod, tires, or even a brake pad it is no longer a survivor, A true survivor would have little to no miles on it, sitting with the original air in the tires from the factory, so before you listen to these peoples hog wash, question them, and if you buy a vehicle with any amount of miles on it and someone did not replace certain normal wear and tear items, get ready to get a very expensive mechanic fee, some of the parts for this vehicle are hard to find and can be very costly this is why just about everything was replaced on this truck. This vehicle is owned by a master mechanic and great pride was taken in every step of this restoration, this is why this toyota is RUN AND DRIVE!!!.. Now for some of the goodies, the tires are 32" TSL super swampers radials (less that 1,000 miles on them), shocks are procomp-es 3000. There is a ramsy 8000-lb wench installed in the front and a class 3 hitch installed in the back. This vehicle is showroom clean, we took first place at the Cleveland Ohio autorama show in 2009, this vehicle has not seen more that 100 miles on it since it's complete body off resto in 2007, so if you looking for a joy ride it won't start here, we encourage you or a designate to come over and inspect this vehicle, but it will not leave the drive until cash has been received, what I am saying here is that we will not off road this vehicle, we will not drive this vehicle unless it is a sunny day, as stated previously in the ad the underneath looks as good as the top.
