JUST IN TIME FOR SPRING........A BEAUTIFUL 1989 HONDA GB500. THIS BIKE HAS A HIGH PERFORMANCE MOTOR. IT IS WHAT A TRUE THUMPER IS ALL ABOUT. IF YOU WANT A RARE, ONLY A TWO YEAR PRODUCTION FOR THE USA, THIS IS FOR YOU. BID NOW! The engine was built by XR's Only from Hesperia, CA and only has 3,775 miles on it since the build. This engine also has had the following work done to it: XR's Only split the cases and changed the gear cluster for gears 2 and 5. They also rebuilt the oil pump and made it flow at a higher volume. A Carillo Rod and JE Piston (the skirts of which were ceramic coated), at the time of the rebuild a new cylinder head (which was ported and polished) was installed along with extended cooling fins., a Megacycles Track Cam (which was hard-faced as were the rocker arms), Kibble White Valves, R/D heavy duty valve springs, much of the internals of the cylinder head was ceramic coated, as well as, the exhaust ports, and the exhaust is of the SuperTrapp "Megaphone" variety, the carburetor is a Mikuni 38mm Flatslide (of which as been bored out to 41mm), attached to said carb. is a K&N air filter and a steel braided cylinder head vent tube. This engine is now sporting 601cc, has great torque, the cam comes on at around 4200rpm and pulls hard until 7500rpm...this thing goes like a freight train! This bike also has Progressive springs in the forks and Progressive shocks in the rear, a front steel-braided brake line, Sky King billet aluminum "Bar-End" mirrors and a nice "Flyscreen". Recently, a tune-up was done which included, a new spark plug, new oil and and oil filter, adjustment of all cables, a carb. cleaning with new jetting and the valves were checked. Also, it the time of the tune-up, I had new rear brakes shoes installed, the brakes adjusted and new Pirelli Sport Demon tires installed ( 100/90-18 in front and a 120/90-18 in the rear). The bike has a clear title and is registered in California through May of 2012. This bike also comes with the original Honda owners manual, the Honda service manual, a couple of magazines with articles about the GB500, Honda dealer brochures, a traditional "Cafe Racer" fairing, a set of "Napoleon Bar-End mirrors", a set of the stock mirrors, a motorcycle cover and many other extra parts.
