2005 Dodge Dakota EXT Cab Up for auction today, I have a 2005 Dodge truck that has an electrical issue? I bought this truck from Chase Bank, and drove it back to the shop myself, so I know the motor and transmission is in good working order. Later I dropped the truck off at the detail shop to get detailed, and while cleaning it, they left the radio on and the doors open. They told me by the time they were finnished cleaning it, the battery was dead, so they jumped it off with a battery pack, and it did nothing, so the installed a new battery, and it did the samething as the jumper pack? When you turn the key to the on possition, everything lights up as it should, but it does not crank when you turn the key the start possition. I first thought that the key lost programming due the dead battery, but I had a lock smith come out, and he said the key was programed to the truck? The truck does have a Dent in the front right fender, and I already bought the fender for the truck prior to the current problem, so that will come with the truck. It also has scratches down the sides, some look like normal wear, and some are deeper, but they would not come out real well in the photos, so note that they are their. The rear bumper also has damage, and needs to be replaced. Other than that, the truck is in good shape, and the inside is clean for the year. This is my loss, because I do not know what the problem is?, you may have had this problem before, and it might be a simple fix, I think they got something wet under the hood?, but then agian, it may be something major? I am selling this truck AS IS with any problem that it may have, so please ask questions before the end of auction, because it will be sold without reserve to the last bidder..
