Up for sale is a 1978 Honda CR 250 Elsinore. I bought this bike used with the idea to restore, but it has just been sitting for a few years in my basement, so it is time to go. I have never seen this bike run, but the engine does turn over, and the bike can be placed into gear, and rocked back and forth, or shifted to neutral. I make no claims to what the engine looks like inside. The previous owner said he put a new piston and rings in prior to me purchasing it, but I never looked inside to see. It does seem to have good compression though. I purchased a NOS Carb from a 1980 Elsinore, which is what is on the bike in the pictures, but that's as far as I got. I have a few extra things I bought, but never put on, some new reeds, new cables, and a Clymer manual which I will throw in. There is nothing additional, what is in the photos is all I have, no seat, no fenders, no exhaust, etc. I will ship at buyers expense (buyer makes all arrangements), and can deliver to the Forward air terminal in Newark for an extra $ 50.00, or you are welcome to come pick it up in Central New Jersey. This bike would make a good base for a restoration. If you have any questions please ask, and I will answer to the best of my knowledge.
