Vehicle Detail
Here for sale is my 1969 Hurst Olds. This car is pretty much complete with the exception of the ram air set up but I do have the original red air cleaner. It is all numbers matching, motor, transmission and rear end. This is one of the 250 or so cars with the Hurst shipping slip, I also have the original description brochure that describes all of the available options and when production will be ready in Hurst Co. letterhead with dated envelope and paper. This Hurst Olds bearing the VIN# of 344879M377447 is also registered in the Hurst Olds Registery. I never looked for a build sheet, so I cannot say if there is one or not. (If anyone has any knowledge of the location of the build sheet for these particular cars, that information would be greatly appreciated). The motor is apart, it was machined and cleaned along with the original deport heads and intake and I have a complete rebuilt kit for it that will go with the car. The carburator is in a box along with the radiator and assorted parts. It has the original seats, with gold striped headrests, console with shifter, the dash is very nice, steering wheel with horn cap which is not in the photos and mirrors. When I purchased this car 7 years ago they were commanding prices in the 100K range, restored. I paid 35K for this car. My intentions were to restore this vehicle along with 4 other vehicles and fund my retirement. I have since, sold my business and 5,000sq. ft. warehouse so I have decided to sell these cars. I am aware of the state of the economy and do not expect to get my initial investment back, however, I am not going to give the car away. This is a very rare and limited production vehicle of under 1,000 produced. The car is from Ohio and there are a few rust issues and they are as follows: There are two small holes in the driver and passanger side front floor, easily repaired. The deck lid has the usual lower rust, both doors have some rust blistering on the bottom edges, the front fenders have the usual rust behind the front wheels and the hood has rust in the lower front as they usually do and the quarter panels have rust issues behind the rear wheel. These are common areas of rust for these vehicles and are easily viewed in the photos. For this reason, I purchased a 1969 Olds Cutlass body from California for an additional $4,000.00. It's ugly but it's virtually rust free with the exception of the lower front fenders. I have been in the automotive and autobody restoration business pretty much all of my life and having a donor car like this car will give you all the expensive and necessary parts you would need to complete a full restoration. I am by no means an authority on Hurst Oldsmobiles, however, I will be glad to answer any questions and provide additional photos. I have described this vehicle to the best of my ability and I know there will be additional questions involving a lot of detail so due to my inexperience with typing it would be much easier to communicate by phone. I am open to offers but will not disclose my reserve, which I feel is more than fair for a vehicle this rare. So don't miss out on a chance to buy a car of this rarity in unrestored and much more affordable condition. Thank you and good luck bidding, Jimmy 813 393 8705 I have described this vehicle to the best of my ability, should you have any questions, you may contact me by phone as my time on the computer is limited. Thank you and good luck bidding. Jimmy 813 393 8705 I reserve the right to end this auction early, as it is also advertised locally. Please do not ask the reserve price, as it is not fair to participating bidders. Bid to buy. If you have less than 7 ebay transactions, please contact me before bidding or your bid will be cancelled.
