I purchased this bike in 1998 while I was sales manager at a Honda motorcycle dealership. I had a vintage CB160, same year and color so as I was passing a yard sale this caught my eye because it was in good condition and I knew it wouldn''t take much to get it running. After I had it running I drained the fuel and have had it in storage ever since. I just discovered the petcock developed a leak and as I was on-line looking for a new petcock I saw another S65 listed in an ebay auction. I decided to put mine up for auction as well and let the new owner put some TLC into it because even if I purchased a new petcock and got it running I still have no plans to ride it on the streets. When I purchased it the owner couldn't locate his pinkslip or registration so I had a local police officer do a background check on the vin # to make sure it wasn't stolen property. It came back with no record at all because it had been over ten years since it was last registered. With the document from the police officer stating clear title I went into the local Auto Club and was about to register it in my name. Since I wasn't planning to operate it on the streets I decided not to initiate a new title in my name so whoever purchases the vehicle now can start fresh if it's planned to be ridden on the streets. The vehicle can be picked up at my home in Glendora or you can make arrangements for shipping. I could strap it down on a pallet or crate if for a $50 fee.
