Vehicle Detail

Up for sale is an all original, numbers matching, 1970 Dodge Challenger, never restored. The only piece not original is the carburetor and I believe the one in the trunk is either the original or one like it. The tail lights are in a box in the trunk. I have the original exhaust thats been in storage for over 35 years. I have the clear title, in my name and in my possession. I also have the original owners manual, warranty card, and Consumer Information sheet. I also have the original title from when my dad bought it in 1972, the buyer can have a COPY if they want. The History: Way back in 1970 my dad was graduating from high school, he had a good friend that had some well off parents and his friend received this car brand new as a high school graduation present. My dad loved the car and his buddy new this, he told him if he ever wanted to sell it to let him know. Well, about 2 years later his friend got tired of it, probably wanted a new one or something, and offered to sell it to my dad.... he bought it on the spot and has had it ever since until my dad passed away in 2007 and I inherited it. Throughout my life I have enjoyed hearing all the stories my dad has told me about the crazy stuff they did in this car. Hopefully whoever buys it will cherish it and let me ride in it when it's done. Reason for Selling: Due to the cost of restoration, I will not be doing anything with it anytime soon and it already cost me over $4000 to store it for 4 years. I really would like to keep it but I am trying to start a business and will be using the money for that. I would like to see somebody have it that can properly restore it to original, it would be a shame to turn it into a drag car. As long as I can remember its been sitting, probably for 30+ years at least. It has low miles on it and wouldn't take too much to get it running again. So there you have it, a rare opportunity to purchase a legendary mopar thats all original, numbers matching, solid, complete, and never been restored. Thanks for looking!!On Apr-06-11 at 15:01:07 PDT, seller added the following information: I went over and got the exhaust from my grandmas and it turned out to be just the original mufflers, so I don't have the original manifolds or tips.On Apr-07-11 at 14:54:20 PDT, seller added the following information: The number 1 question by far has been about the rust, specifically the floor pans and trunk pan. I am including a link where I have uploaded more pictures (ebay won't let me add any more) that shows the underside of the floor pans. It appears to have been undercoated, not sure if it was factory or done after delivery. http://s269.photobucket.com/albums/jj41/xtrmspl/1970%20Challenger/
