Vehicle Detail

DUE TO DEADBEAT HIGH BIDDER, THIS IS A RE-LIST, PLEASE IF YOU ARE NOT SERIOUS ABOUT BUYING THIS CAR, DO NOT BID. 1949 Chevy Deluxe 2 door coupe. I have owned this car for about a year. Previous owner purchased this car from original owner, who i believe did all the restoring on this car. From what i was told, the grill, bumpers, emblems, hood ornament, etc were all re-chromed, showing light wear, not perfect, but very nice. A nice paint job over decent bodywork, you can see some ripples in some places, but still displays great!!! I have waxed this car 4 times over the past year, and kept her clean in a heated garage. Still very vibrant paint job, may have been painted within the last 10 years, not sure. This chevy still has the original 6 cyl motor backed by 3 speed tranny. Gears shift perfect, doors shut like new, as well as the trunk, hood, and any other knob on the dash!! (All original) All lights work, this car also has the accessorie flood lights in front and markers in back. Interior needs re-done, or drive as-is. I have replaced master cylinder with new one from Canters, also a brake line. Brakes work, Car runs, but will need a carb rebuild. I have also replaced points, cap, condenser, plug wires, NEW 6 volt battery, adjusted the valves, and I lowered the car removing 2 coils from the front springs, and i believe 4" lowering blocks in back, so if new owner chooses to go back to original stance, it will not be that difficult.. It does need new front shocks in front and back, as i have not put any in since lowered suspension. Looks to have a new exhaust from front to back. Wide white wall tires are in amazing condition. Underneath has surface rust but nothing major. Front floor has had some patch panels installed by original owner. I was planning on buying a c-notch kit for the rear end, and installing air shocks, which i would suggest the new buyer doing for full suspension travel. I have spent hours trying to get this running perfect, but the carb leaks, and to be quite honest, i cannot spend anymore money on this project. ALL windows are perfect, and work accordingly. Dash lights work,, and even the radio lights up, have not tried to use it, but i bet it works too!! The odometer shows 58,876 miles and i believe it to be CORRECT.. I will try to add some more pics of the engine and underneath the car. This i NOT a show car, but a very nice original 49 chevy coupe with older restoration, needing interior. Screams late 40s custom without doing any body mods, truly a beautiful car, but not a show car. The car will drive onto a trailer for loading, but cannot be driven home unless you replace the carb, i have the original carb to go with the car, i replaced with a NOS carter, but i should have known that it would need rebuilding (seals leak) (backfiring through carb) anyone who knows these straight 6 motors will have this running in a day. The radiator also looks like it was re-cored, in Excellent condition. I have any and all trim pieces for the interior that were taken off from original owner, including oil bath air cleaner, etc... Dont want to sell, but have to, thanks to the economy.. the license plate does NOT go with the car.. I have started the process of getting a title already, so when the auction ends, i should have it in my hands and will sign it over to the new owner, should not be an issue.. I am expecting a deposit through Paypal, the rest in cash or certified bank check. I will NOT accept full payment through Paypal, I repeat I will NOT accept full payment through Paypal. If you have any questions, please email or leave a phone number if you would like to talk about the car. Car is located in Cleveland Ohio. I am selling this for a friend, all questions will be relayed to him,. Thanks and good luck.
