Vehicle Detail

Up for bid is a 1980 Pontiac Turbo Trans Am. I wanted to keep this car and restore it as it took me some time to find the color and year that I wanted. It's a solid car and all original. The color is #29 NIGHTWATCH BLUE with tan hobnail cloth interior. It has T-TOPS It has the rare Turbocharge hood indicator lights that the 80 Indy pace cars all had. The fact that this is a 1980 and has the lights is rare in itself. The body is solid with some surface rust. The underside of trunk lid is rusted. The car has been stored inside and not left rotting outside like most of the ones I see on here. I didn't find it in a field rotting and put it on Ebay to make a quick buck like alot of sellers on here do. The car was taken care of and has just been sitting and not gotten to. I recently drained the gas tank and put fresh gas in. I also installed a fuel pump. It runs and drives...around the block not 500 miles to your house. The wires, belts and other matenance items need to be changed. It's been sitting inside 3 years I know of. The seats have seat covers on the seats to protect seats not because the seats are all ripped up. The dash has no cracks. The radio was cut to accomodate a newer style radio. I do not have original . I bought this car for the color and because it's a 80 Turbo. I really wanted to restore this car and keep it but cannot any longer so someone can. I removed the rear seats and found build sheet. There is rust through on passenger side under seat due to sound deadening material being there and damp... It will also need battery tray. Car will need to be transported due to sitting for years. It runs and drives but could use a carb rebuild and other items, belts, hoses, spark plug wires. I recently installed new AC Delco plugs. The battery will not hold a charge.
