1981 Suzuki GN400X

UP FOR BID: 1981 Suzuki GN400X. The bike, along with several others, was given to me for worked performed for a friend. The motor starts and runs fine. I've changes all the fluids, adjusted and lubed the rear chain, and did a tune-up. The bike has been abused cosmetically, as can be seen in the pictures. The tank has several dents in the left side and one in the right side near the clutch cable. The muffler has dents, the front fender has damage and a crack in the front. The bike was in a minor accident that damaged the speedo / tach / guage assembly beyond use. I didn't notice the mileage on the old speedometer before I threw it away so I'm not sure of the bikes mileage, but it runs just fine. The headlight housing and mounting ears were damaged and the turn signals were also damage beyond use. I replaced the speedo / tach / guage assembly with a good used one and straightened the headlight housing and ears to be usable. The guages have a gear indicator that tells what gear the bike is in. This bike has a compression release lever under the clutch lever. The seat has been recovered and the battery is new. It has the original tool kit. I have heard of people making dirt bikes out of the GN400s by stripping them, replacing the fenders with plastic ones, changing the sprockets, and even changing the wheel sizes, so I didn't replace the turn signals, front fender, or tires. The rear tire is almost bald and the front one has cracks in the sidewalls. Please email with any questions and thanks for looking.
