Vehicle Detail

I have my very nice 1939 Buick for sale. This '39 Special 2 door has a Straight 8 with 3-speed on the column. Options and extras include the stream-line running boards (which have a carpet type covering), working heater (needs defroster hoses), working radio (needs antenna mounted is currently in the trunk but hooked up), and I have a new glove box liner, oil filter, and front license plate bracket that go with the car. I just finished overhauling the carb and put in a newer non-metal style float. Also, the Buick Straight eight has a fresh tune-up including new plugs, points, condensor, plug wires, cap and rotor. The water pump was just rebuilt, with new fan belt, and cooling system flushed. The Buick runs cool! The brake system has been totally gone through and they work perfectly. Interior has been redone and looks great with new door sill plates ($350). All lights (dash and exterior) work along with turn signals (in the Buick emblem on trunk and park lights signal also up front). Horn is LOUD! All gauges work also. The Buick's clutch is a little grabby taking off but works and shifts through all gears easily going down the road. Also a shock arm needs to be reattached on the rear. I meant to fix these things but I have too many toys and I am a farmer and it's about time to plant! I would definitely believe that with the condition of the car that the miles are actual at 48800 but I have no documentation. I will say that the speedometer and odometer do work perfectly. There is absolutely no rust through anywhere, not even in the trunk. Just surface rust on the undercarriage. You don't find a '39 body like this very often especially with all of the stainless trim and grill in this shape. There are two small chips in the paint on the driver side rear fender (which I touched up) caused by a rake falling on it during a thunderstorm. I was totally upset. Thanks for looking. I will help anyway I can to assist with shipping. You can call me at 660-623-0511 with any questions or email. Thanks. Ron W. Forgot to add that the clock works when the glove box door is open but when you close it it works for a second or two then quits. Kinda funny, but I think it just needs a cleaning. On Mar-31-11 at 17:27:29 PDT, seller added the following information: I do have the Buick for sale locally, therefore I reserve the right to end the auction early. Thanks. Ron
