Vehicle Detail
I have owned this for nine years. It has had the brakes rebuilt ( a big deal $5,000) transmission rebuilt, radiator rebuilt, exterior repainted, wood refinished, upholstery redone and new carpeting (which is lame). A few years ago I added up the expenses and I was just north of $20,000 in restoration costs. This car has been inside until the last year and I don't have room for it so it needs to go away. It is a good solid driver but still needs to be sorted out which I don't have time for. I have probably put a total of 200 miles on this car over nine years. I think the tires are too wide because you can hear them scraping against the fender when turning in tight radiuses. There also is a clunking sound that comes from the drive shaft at times but very rarely. I spent a lot of money on it but don't know what the problem is. Again it needs someone that will persevere after repairs to make sure they have been done correctly. The A.C. does not work. The pictures show the true condition of the car after sitting out for the past year and still unwashed. The paint job was proper but there is evidence of a repaint on some of the window moldings which can and should be cleaned up. This is for someone that really wants a Rolls desperately can't afford one and has time and energy to finish it up correctly. Also I just remembered that the rear trunk latch is lost which cost less that $100 when I checked with a used Rolls parts dealer in California. If someone can do the work them self I believe that for a maximum of $2000 you would have a car that was as close to perfect as you would ever want. The missing hubcap is in the trunk. There is no radio. Also the front passenger seat has an issue as it thinks it is a Lazy Boy recliner. I have not even looked at it to see what the problem is but I can't imagine it is anything serious. The picture of the inside of the trunk lid looks rusty but it has no rust. It is glue and backing from the liner that is missing. On Mar-28-11 at 10:57:36 PDT, seller added the following information: If you are bidding with zero to five feedbacks or any negative feedback you need to contact me for approval to bid on this item or I will remove you as a bidder.
