Vehicle Detail

Well today is the day that I figured instead of adding to the 11 old cars I already have I better start letting some of them go to someone else who may be able to dedicate more time to one than me with 11. So no gimmicks no tricks and most of all no Lies. What I have here is a pretty decent 1973 Dodge Challenger that is all complete (with the exception of a gas tank) and numbers matching. She has a 318 motor and a 727 auto trans. A/C is all there in tact. The interior is all white and the headliner is in perfect condition, the front seats can use a little upholstering but nothing major (see pics). I don't know if she will run but looking at how the motor is all in tack I would say she will. I just had a key made for the door and the ignition and have not had a chance to put a battery in her and try to fire. (Too busy doing a frame off on my 72 2wd K5 Blazer). There is rust in the rear quarters (see Pics) and I just got the trunk open yesterday and the trunk floor is rusted out. The front passenger side outer headlight is out of socket due to broken fiberglass housing. The roof has dents and it was originally a white vinyl top and there is rust in the bottom corners of the back window (see pics). The doors open and close very solid. The original color was the darker blue you can see in some of the pics since has been painted a lighter blue so one repaint. She has a four 14x5 1/2 rallye wheels and beauty rings but only 3 original center caps (the rings are whupped). I took one pic after I put on some big wheels just to see what she look like and I really almost want to keep her now since I can definitely see her potential with just a set of big wheels, but I have her up for bid and like I said earlier I am not looking to hit lotto but I did put and easy reserve. The rear quarters must be common to rust since I have seen replacement panels for $64.95 each side on a Challlenger site. I do have a rust free deck lid and front lower valance to go with it (see pics). I will have a small reserve on her but I am not looking to hit lotto selling this on ebay. I will say this I have been checking on a few sites (ebay included) and I know what I have here does have value. So throw out your best bid and let's see what happens. If you have any questions just call me at 310-213-1658 Cell and I will try to assist. Good luck on your bidding!! I will try to get the pics of the rusted out trunk floor soon.On Mar-28-11 at 15:21:41 PDT, seller added the following information: I just added 5 more pics since bidders have request to see the trunk and underneath. Sorry it took so long but it has been raining here in Los Angeles for the last 4 days steady. This is an Original California car and still has one of the original blue plates on the front. I can register this car to this current year for $143.00 so it is no back fees due. There is a dent in the front right fender at the bottom which was courtesy of the tow truck. The gas tank also is available on the net for $179.00. The original straps for the gas tank are still there and look to be in pretty good condition. For all of you that are out of the country I will help you with the shipping if you win the bid. This car is 95% complete and not a bad project to start with. I believe that with the time and dedication you can probably be on the road driving in about a week. From that point on you can have a driveable project. If you need more pics of a specific area that are not already shown just let me know and I can send to you directly at your email. That's all I have for now and Good Luck!On Mar-30-11 at 17:21:55 PDT, seller added the following information: I have just DRASTICLY lowered the reserve. I am going to sell this car no matter what. So Now all the phone calls can end about how much is my reserve and will I take this much or will I trade plus cash. My reserve was $4500.00 but now I just got my VW bus out of paint and this is going. My reserve is so low now the next couple of bids will meet it. I can only hope you folks really want this car to get the price up there where my original reserve was. Good Luck.
