Vehicle Detail

This truck has been my daily driver, commuting 35 minutes each way, for 6 months without fail. It has the original 240 Black Diamond 6, Warner Gear non-synchro T-9 (meaning you have to double clutch from gear to gear), and rear axle. It'll run 65 mph and pull a house down. I've pulled a car trailer with it without a problem. Here's what I've done; Replaced every fluid in the vehicle, rear axle, trans, ...all of them Replaced the points, condensor, and coil as a precaution Coated the inside of the gas tank Replaced the fuel filter and pump as a precaution Installed a new battery Wired in turn signals Built a serious square receiver hitch Shot it with a cheap quickie satin black paint (absolutely couldn't stand the original Salmon color any longer) Added the Moon hubcaps Replaced the tires with very good ones, tread is 75% or better Installed a carpet for sound deadening Took out 2 leafs from the front springs and shortened the shocks 2 1/2 inches to get the stance right Replaced the seat Adjusted the valve lash Installed an awesomely functional cup holder Driven the hell out of it It's pretty rare to see an all original 58 truck that can lay claim to being a daily driver, ...especially at my reserve price. You could finish this one to your taste while driving it regularly. I've got an auto glass guy that will cut the back glass for $50 (it's there, but cracked). Just haven't worked it into the budget or schedule yet. I'd be willing to work that out with you after the sale, or just give you his info. What's wrong? ; the rear window has a big spiderweb crack throughout, the passengers vent and door window are cracked but functional, it leaks about a quart of oil in just over a month while driving it regularly (rear main, and lifter cover), transmission is damp, the rear shocks are older coil overs and probably out of oil (they're a little bouncy), speedo, gas gauge and temp gauge don't work. I top off the fuel every 3 days (summit racing has universal senders for short money) and was going to fix the speedo and build a gauge cluster for the rest. There is a silver dollar sized rust hole in the passengers cab corner and front lip of the rear venders rusted away from the step. Box is solid as is the rest of the cab. There are minor dents and dings that I haven't bothered filling. I wasn't trying to cover anything up with the paint except the awful color. Left front fender already had filler in it, but I haven't dug in to see how much. Normal rattles and shakes for an old truck, but nothing that'll keep you from driving it. It goes, stops, steers, and looks just fine. Low blue book on this truck is $5675. My reserve is way way below this.
