This auction is for a 1976 Datsun 280Z, that we saved from being crushed last week. There are no rust issues with this car at all. The fenders are not rusting, nor the floor pans, or the rear arches or hatch area. Rust free. there are a few bubbles in the paint job, but its nowhere near structural at all. period.. This car came to us with the drivers window broken out, and the midconsole wrecked, with the radio missing. The Manufacture date reads as 11/75. so this is a relatively early 76. There is no title included in this sale, only a bill of sale. This car was originally the light blue with black interior, somewhere along the road it was painted a royal blue, this paint job is pretty good, there are scuff areas from being in the salvage yard for 2 weeks. The beautiful car, of which I have been driving for a week, has no drivetrain issues, very solid, and very fast. This is the fastest Automatic Transmission Datsun I have ever driven, and I have had hundreds. Tires in the rear, are nearly slicks, the fronts are great. Air conditioning seems to work fine, but how would I know, I live in Colorado. Heres whats wrong.................. The front Left and Right Corners are missing, alone with the center Valance. The Front Bumper Corners are missing as well. One of the front bumper rubbers is missing too. The word Datsun replaces the badge that should read 280Z on the right fender. The sideview Mirror from the drivers side, is in the back hatch for the time being. Scuffs of the paint primarily on the drivers side. The midconsole is toast, no saving it. no radio. Both of the door panels are going to need to be replaced, the hardboard for both are in good shape however. Drivers side interior door handle will need to be replaced. Dash cover is cracked. Interior Dome light will need to be replaced. Clock does'nt work. Call Patrick. The seats are unripped, black with a blue insert on both. back vinyl and plastic is all good. Carpets are good, there is dog hair stuck in the black carpet everywhere. Glass is all good now. I wanted to add some information, this car is a NON CATALYTIC CONVERTER car. Explains the power! Also, I would add the following for missing/replacement parts........... No Gas Cap The Left/drivers carpet finisher next to the aluminum entry rails will have to be replaced, its kind of old LOOKING. On March 24 I have added 6 pictures of the floor pan............its that clean. Yes. Automatic transmission R180 with a gear ratio of 3.9 to answer another frequently asked question. Keep asking, I'll do the best I can to help out. INCLUDING, helping you with the transport of this car. I can talk with your transportation company and maybe make it easier for them to pick up. The Reserve price is pretty low, just wanted everyone to know this weekend!!!!!!!! Worth every cent.
