Hello There! Thank you for stopping by to look at my auction. Up for sale is my 2006 Porsche Cayman S. The exterior is a stunning Lapis Blue Metallic, and the full leather interior is finished in Sand Beige (steering wheel, stick shift, console, dash, etc are all matching leather). If you are seeking a Porsche in a slightly classier, more understated color than Guards Red or Basalt Black with the standard grey leather interior, you can't choose a better combination than this. I purchased this awesome machine about a year ago for a small premium above the going retail rate -- over $40K -- because I wanted this specific color combination, loaded with every option I could get my hands on, and I was able to locate only one in the whole country. Having purchased it from a dealer, however, it was fully inspected and certified by CarMax only a year ago, with their industry-leading inspection and 30-day full return warranty. Of course, I didn't need it because the car is in near mint condition. Today, though, you have the opportunity to buy this same automobile from me with only about 5000 more miles on it, but for a dramatically lower price. Why am I selling it? Not because I really totally want to, but because I am starting a family and need to get a car that can hold more than two people. How much lower? Having looked at the other Porsches for sale on eBay and wanting to beat my competitors, I am setting my reserve price BELOW THE KBB and NADA TRADE IN VALUES... thus my reserve is only $30K. I could not find a single Porsche Cayman S on eBay, or anywhere else, in this beautiful condition, in these beautiful colors, brimming with options, for anywhere near this price. Bid with confidence! I have a long reputation for describing my items with honesty and being straightforward to deal and communicate with. This Porsche has had its VIN verified with Porsche Cars of North America. It bears the following option codes: 342 - Heated Driver and Passenger Seats 405 - 19" Carrera Classic wheels 435 - Leather / Sport steering wheel 446 - Center wheel caps with color painted Porsche crest 573 - Automatic Climate Control 640 - Sport Chrono Package Plus 680 - Bose Surround Sound Stereo C02 - US Standard Emissions Package M6N - Sand Beige Interior P15 - Power Driver and Passenger Seats w/Lumbar P16 - Porsche Communication Management 2.1 (Navigation, MP3 CD, Trip Planning module, ...) P74 - Bi-Xenon Headlamps with Washers PCNA reports that the original MSRP for this specific Porsche, with all options installed, was $70,725.00 USD. And only five years later, you have the opportunity to drive this same automobile for only $30K! With exceptionally low miles and in pristine condition. But that's not all. I had some OEM Porsche Tequipment options installed by the local Porsche dealership. They can all easily be removed if you don't like them, but they are very tasteful and fit with the car naturally. Finally, I purchased and routinely stored the car under a heavy-duty custom fit car cover, especially designed to protect the car from sun, rain, etc even though I stored it in my garage for as long as I have owned it. To give you an idea of how fastidious I am about taking care of my car, and how serious I am about describing it fully to the eBay community, there are really only two tiny blemishes on the whole car. Number One, the driver's side seat has a surface-only scratch on the leather, probably from a pants button of the previous owner. It's about the size of a sewing needle (1.5" long, extremely thin), and very hard to see. (I'll attach a picture of it to the auction anyway.) Number Two, right next to the license plate, there is a paint chip about 1/4 to 1/2 the size of a dime -- probably a rock chip. I'll post a picture of that too. They'll be the last two pictures I list -- one of the seat, and one of the license plate. Otherwise, the exterior and interior are basically in near mint condition. No rust, dents, or dings. A wash and wax and this car will trump just about anything on the road. And speaking of trumping other cars on the road... if you are in the market for this car, I assume that you are aware that in 2006 there was only the 'S' variant of the Cayman, producing 295hp. This car accelerates and handles like nothing you have ever driven. On nice, groomed highways, this car EASILY accelerates up into the 125-140 range in basically no time... and it still has another 30 MPH in there if you want it! The close gear ratios, high RPM limit, and super-tight handling with Porsche Stability Management (PSM) allow even the novice driver to really take this car to the next level. Push the "Sport" button, and not only do you get an aggressive throttle response, but a special exhast and engine note that really makes a point. It is no understatement to say that you could commute to work every day at 120 MPH, and this car has the manners and refinement for you to sip your morning coffee and listen to the radio while you do it. And while I have never raced this car, you certainly could -- many other Porsche Club (PCA) members do, because the mid-engine platform enables handling that arguably outdoes even the 911. But even if you don't like to drive over the speed limit, this car has the manners and refinement to hold back, if you have the restraint to do so yourself. It is very easy to drive compared to older Porsches. The power steering and steering feedback make this an excellent car for a novice or an expert, and driving with Sport Mode off ensures that you don't "take off" if you don't mean to. The water cooled engine delivers reliability in all climates, and all situations (especially stop and go traffic). There are two "master" keys to this car, which include the key itself, and a remote unlock for the doors, front trunk, and rear trunk. There is also a "valet" key that does not allow you to open the glove box, and perhaps also the trunks. With the PCM system, you can actually program each key with its own settings for... Seat memory (position, lumbar, etc)Heater / Air Conditioner settingsRadio PreferencesAnd more (this means that two drivers can basically customize the car simply by opening the door with their own key!)
