Vehicle Detail
For Sale: ’55 Chevy 210 Post with Bel Air trim. Almost all mechanical parts new or rebuilt with less than 1000 miles on them. Motor: 360ci 4-bolt main; about 425 horsepower; runs great. Short block built by Sehr Performance Machine in Sioux Falls, SD. SpeedPro Hyperutectic flattop pistons with moly rings. Clevite bearings. All machine operations performed. Balanced. Edelbrock Performer RPM heads. Felpro 1003 gaskets. 10.35 compression. Comp Extreme Energy cam. 224-230 .509 .512 lift. Double roller timing chain. Comp Magnum push rods. Comp Pro Magnum 1.6 rollers rockers. Edelbrock RPM Airgap intake. Holley 670 Street Avenger carb. K&N filter. 1¾” Hedman ceramic coated headers. MSD ignition. Windage tray. ARP rod and headbolts. Felpro one piece pan gasket. New Proform mini starter. Griffin aluminum radiator. Miledon high flow aluminum water pump. Custom aluminum shroud. Runs cool. Spent over $5000 on motor. New polyurethane motor mounts. New bell housing mounts. Car is still using original ’55 bell housing. Transmission: Completely rebuilt Super T10 4 speed transmission. Hearst Competition Plus shifter. Ram 11” clutch. All new clutch linkage. Has driveshaft loop. Spent over $1500 on transmission, shifter and clutch. Rear End: Stock ’55 housing. 1964 Dana Powerlock Posi center section with P case. 336 gears. Completely rebuilt by Streetwise Performance. New axle bearings and Dynobrake rear brake kit with ceramic shoes. Traction bars. Spent $2,000 on rear end. Plastic lined gas tank with larger pickup. 2½” exhaust with 3” stainless steel tips. Sounds awesome. Spent $1000 on exhaust system. Front suspension: All rebuilt with poly bushings. New ball joints and tie rod ends. Ball bearing idler arm kit. Rebuilt steering box and steering column. Front and rear sway bars. Stainless steel power front disc brake kit with vacuum reserve. Spent $2000 on front end and brakes. No parking brake cables. New Crager SS wheels. 14x6 front with 215 tires. 15x8 rear with Mickey Thompson L60 15 tires. I had radials on the back for awhile but I put on the Mickey Thompsons because they look cool. It’s a tight fit with minor rubbing on hard corners although it doesn’t hurt the tires. It did ride a little better and smoother with radials - I think a 275 60 15 radial would perfect. Spent over $1000 on tires and wheels. Sony stereo CD with auxiliary input. Two 6x9 speakers rear. Two 4” speakers behind original speaker grill. Body and interior was done around 1990. Interior shows some age but isn’t too bad. Seats have a couple of small spots on them. Windlace is worn some around the doors. Passenger door window is cracked. All other glass is pretty good. New rubber weather stripping on windshield and rear window. Headliner has a couple of small tears that are not very noticeable. I put in new black carpet. Nice tach and gauges. Floor vents open and close. All lights, turn signals, speedometer, and gas gauge work. Speedometer was rebuilt. Windows roll up and down and doors lock and close good. No wipers – needs motor and wiper arms and blades. No heater. Driver and passenger doors need window felt. Trifive floormats included. Body: Painted around 1990 (well before I owned the car). Bel Air trim and emblems were added to the body (one emblem was misplaced slightly). I will describe the repairs the car has had the best I can tell. Shows a little age but not too bad. A few scratches I touched up with touch up paint – not too noticeable. A few rock chips here and there. A couple of dull spots. Again, not too noticeable. There were some body repairs made at the time of painting around headlight eyebrows. Pretty good job. New rockers. Good job. Passenger side front part of quarter panel behind the door was patched. Looks ok. Driver’s side quarter panel has some kind of repair with metal welded in and some bondo. Floor had rust hole on the front driver’s side that was patched decently. Small rust hole in trunk also patched decently. A couple of floor braces have the ends rusted off that weren’t fixed before undercoating was put on. Doors, trunk and hood open and close very good and the white paint is very good. A little bit of body work touchup and a new coat of red could really make it great if you’re pickier than I am. Also has bowtie taillight lenses. Car starts and runs great, very good all around motor with great power. Cruises great around town, idles good with a deep rumble, and gets ok mileage if you can keep your right foot under control. Drives and handles ok, and it brakes good. I am selling because I also have a 57 GMC pickup and a Camaro and not enough space or money to keep all three, darn it. This car was shown on a half-page in Chevy High Performance magazine, thanks to my wife sending in my information – she’s cool. Any questions, please email me I am happy to explain any details so you know what you are getting . Clear South Dakota title. Sold as is - no warranty. Thanks for looking.
