Vehicle Detail

To clarify, this Jaguar E Type is by no means a concourse vehicle, but is in fairly good condition for a 45 year old classic. I have owned this classic for little over a year, and have driven her less than 125 miles. My intentions for this Jag were to bring her back to her natural luster and enjoy it as a weekend cruiser. Unfortunately I haven’t had the time due to my schooling. However, being that this is my last semester of schooling, I will have the time for such an endeavor and have decidied to dedicate my new found time to a roadster of the same series. This Jaguar E Type is a 2+2 Coupe that needs very little TLC to be a great cruiser. Based on the decent condition of this Jag, I would guess that it was an older restoration, possibly done in the early to mid 90’s. She is an ALL numbers matching beauty! The actual mileage is believed to be 104122. If you have any questions or would like more pictures, please contact me via email or by phone @ (317) 333-4427 and ask for Mr. King Paint & Body The body is very solid with only a couple of minor dings on the rear passenger side which are not too visible. If I was to rate the paint on a scale on 1-10, I would have to give it an 8 because there are a couple a paint chips from driving, but NO rust! The paint could also use a good wet sanding and buffing in a few small areas to bring back that natural shine, but overall the paint is in very good condition. The chrome is in presentable condition, but is by no means show quality. There are some minor scratches and minimal pitting in some areas. On the front bumper there is a small scratch that has began to rust, but other than that the chrome is fairly decent. Mechanics Upon the purchase of this Jag, which was a little over a year ago, I had all of the fluids, filters, as well as the belt changed. My mechanic also changed the brake pads and turned the rotors. While changing the front brake pads, my mechanic informed me that the seals on the front calibers where a little worn and would eventually need to be replaced or the seals would leak. He informed me that I could continue to drive the Jag, but I would need to replace the seals. After setting in my garage for a year, the front seals did go bad and will need to be replaced. My mechanic said that the pistons in the front calibers are good and the seals are the only thing needed to fix the front calibers. With a little sweat equity and a fifty dollar front caliber seal kit, the brakes will be in working order. The seal kit can be found on Ebay under the parts section or from XK’S unlimited. My mechanic also rebuilt the carburetors and synchronized them. He informed me that they should be recalibrated and that the best way to do so is by using a color tune system. We also had the distributor cap and rotor replaced, as well as the plug wires. Interior The interior is in overall good condition. There are a couple of items missing such as the horn bezel and trim piece as well as a driver! The horns work well, but I took the bezel out because it would at times get stuck which would leave the horn blaring, so I removed it and have unfortunately miss placed it. If I find it before the end of the auction I will included with the vehicle, but no guarantees. The leather is in good condition, but is a little dry in some areas. It has the original radio as well! The wood steering wheel is in good condition and is still very sturdy. All of the carpet is in nice condition as well.
