Vehicle Detail

The perfect driver!! Ralph would be proud. Great gas mileage in a whopping 110 HP 4 speed coupe. Drives excellent. Brakes were serviced and the master cylinder and the carbs were rebuilt. The flywheel was drilled, bolted and balanced. New clutch and throwout bearing. Rebuilt alternator with one wire conversion. All electrical works including the radio except the dash speaker is bad. New wipers. The fan motor for the heater is not working, but I will have that fixed before it leaves. The fuel tank was pulled and cleaned. The fuel sending unit is bad but I can replace that if you buy the new sending unit. The engine tin was removed, glass beaded and painted with semi gloss epoxy paint that duplicates the factory hue. While the engine was out I cleaned all the fins of any debris as well as the oil cooler. After the engine was installed it was tuned, heads were re-torqued, and valves were adjusted. Oil pressure was 45 pounds on the mechanical gauge I hooked up to it. The shifter is nice and tight and shifts beautifully. It has new tires and the hubcaps are nice too. The paint is bright yellow and was on the car when I got it and I just polished it. It is peeling on the front below the bumper and has some chips. I could fix it but just don't have the time. The only body damage is a slight crease on the passenger door that I did getting in a hurry and swiped it with my truck. It is not a show paint job but looks good from 10 feet and great at 20. Original color was 918 Twilight Blue with blue interior. Original paint showing under peeling paint on lower front. Small amount of rust around left rear corner of back window. Some small holes in trunk and drivers floor pan but very solid. Also has some below rear bumper but easily fixed. The glass is all good and the original windshield is near perfect. The interior needs to be redone. That's all I have to say about that. It's usable as is (I have been) All in all, its a blast to drive and I get comments every time I drive it (You'd think no one has seen a Corvair) It's currently registered and insured and has the original California black plates from when it was new. It's not a speed demon by any means but it moves out pretty good! Shipping is responsibility of new owner, HOWEVER, I would be willing to drive this car to you within 300 miles for gas and food for my return vehicle (the foods for me) or I can trailer it to Los Angeles (or anywhere in between) the weekend of April 15, 2011 for $1.25 per mile. I reserve the right to end this auction early as it is for sale locally. IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS ASK. IF YOU NEED MORE PICTURES ASK!! $200 NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT VIA PAYPAL DUE 24 HOURS AFTER AUCTION CLOSE. FULL PAYMENT WITHIN 7 DAYS PAYPAL, POSTAL MONEY ORDER OR CERTIFIED CHECK. CAR DOES NOT LEAVE UNTIL FUNDS HAVE CLEARED. On Mar-16-11 at 18:36:59 PDT, seller added the following information: ANYONE UNDER A 10 FEEDBACK NEEDS TO CONTACT ME FIRST!
