This is a 1970 Triumph T100R Daytona 500CC with 9267 original miles. I purchased this bike a few years ago and it originally came out of Greenwich Village in NYC. It was not running when I purchased it so I had a local shop perform a complete mechanical refurbishment to be able to ride it safely while having them pay attention to allowing the bike to retain the patina of a 40 year old bike. It has all the original parts on it which came with the bike except for one side cover which I was told was from another Triumph Daytona from the period. The bike retains the original faded purple and silver gray paint and the chrome is in good condition. I prefer an old original bike with patina over the overly restored bikes. It has both the side stand and center stand. The motorcycle shop performed a lot of work on the bike including: boiling and sealing the tank, rebuilding the carbs, adjusting the brakes, installing a new clutch and clutch and brake cables, adjusting the valves and replacing the fork seals. They replaced all the fluids in the bike and the petcocks were replaced with new reproduction ones which are made to look like the original ones. After the carbs are tickled the bike starts on one kick. It shifts smoothly through the gears and does not have much vibration. The exhaust system is in good condition and the tires are in good condition with no dry rot. The speedometer and tachometer both work and all the lights and horn function properly. There is one small seat repair on the rear left side of the seat which can be seen in the photos. The bike is located at my house in Southwestern Connecticut. It has a current transferable registration in my name (Connecticut does not title vehicles this old). I am so busy with work that I seldom ride it anymore so I want someone to take it and enjoy it.
