Vehicle Detail

My dad passed away a couple of years ago and I’m selling his project car which is a 1971 Mercedes-Benz 220D which runs on diesel. It has 253659 miles. This has a 4 cylinder engine, 65 HP, with automatic transmission and is white with tan interior. The interior is clean, there is no rust anywhere on the body, and runs pretty good. This car is not perfect but in great shape for this age of car. It will need a little bit of work to get it back to 100%. I believe that anyone who likes to tinker a little bit will have a lot of fun with this car. My dad purchased this vehicle in 2002 from a family member who had it in storage for 10 years. The work he had done on the vehicle was done by various professionals in the Oklahoma City area and less than 2000 miles have been put on it since he purchased it. Vehicle is located in Mustang, OK, has never been wrecked and has a clear title. Below is a listing of items that I have receipts showing what was done to the vehicle: New Paint Job New Tires Brake Job New calipers New Brake Hoses New Master Cylinder Turned Drums New Torque Converter New Cassette stereo with 6 CD changer and speakers New Injection Pump New Battery New Blower Motor New Belts New Resonator Problems that I know of: Air conditioner did work – I believe is just low on Freon. Blinkers/Flashers not working. The parking dog is worn out and so when it is parked, the emergency brake needs to be applied. Seals around a couple of the doors need to be replaced. There are a few door dings in the paint. Seems to need new shocks. Stereo system does not have power. I have added pictures of the engine. Question 1: Do I think the car is drivable across country as is sits now? I believe it would handle the travel without trouble. Question 2: On a scale of 1 to 10 how would I rate the engine? I would rate it 8+. I am not a mechanic but the engine runs smooth and no unusal noises. All filters have been changed within the last 2000 miles. On Mar-21-11 at 20:25:59 PDT, seller added the following information: UPDATE: 3/21/11 - Got an email today wanting pictures of the underside of the vehicle. Luckily I have a neighbor with a car lift. Those have been added. As you can see, no rust, a few drips, but overall this car is a great find!!
