Vehicle Detail
Here for sale is my 1971 Plymouth Cuda. Numbers matching 383 engine with a correct 4 speed transmission. I have sold my warehouse and property and I have two months to find storage.( I also have, a project, numbers matching 1969 Hurst Olds and a numbers matching 1974 Super Duty Trans Am, both cars are full restoration projects and both come with rust free parts cars and a 1970 all numbers matching rust free Datsun 240Z and a few others for those of you that might be interested). Now back to the Cuda, this is a rust free car with the exception of the quarter panels, deck lid and a small spot on the inside of the passenger side door jam (shown in photos). I purchased an original rust free trunk. This was a 2 fender tag car with a lot of options. I have the fender tag with the VIN # on it but the option tag was stolen years ago but repos are available. The options are as follows: 383 engine 4 speed transmission with pistol grip shifter Console and guages 3 speaker dash with 2 speaker rear Road lamps Hood pins Fender mounted turn signals Magnum 500 style wheels Rare cassette recorder that was console mounted, holes are in the console and I have the recorder but the brackets are missing When I bought the car years ago, I was told that the engine ran but needed to be rebuilt, turns over free. The original color, is a very rare color combination of Bahama Yellow with white interior, white vinyl top and white billboards. (At the very bottom of the windshield posts you can still see the stainless steel vinyl top caps). I have yet to see a Cuda with this color combination. Original paint on floors and spots of the engine compartment and fender tag reveal the original color. All the door panels and rest of the interior are completely original with the exception of the seats, they were changed years back, they look to me, to be from a Challanger. The trunk is solid with no rust through, same goes for the under carriage. This would make for an easy restoration. Years ago I had a 1971 Hemi Cuda that I was restoring, I only wish it had a body like this Cuda, I also wish I still had the car! LOL I also spent $4000.00 for an original shaker breather that will be made available to the winning bidder to purchase if he chooses. If you have an interest in the shaker breather but did not win the auction and the winning bidder does not want to purchase it, please provide me with your contact information. I have described this vehicle to the best of my ability, should you have any questions, you may contact me by phone as my time on the computer is limited. Thank you and good luck bidding. Jimmy 813 393 8705 I reserve the right to end this auction early, as it is also advertised locally. Please do not ask the reserve price, it is not fair to participating bidders. Bid to buy. If you have less than 7 ebay transactions, please contact me before bidding or your bid will be cancelled. On Mar-18-11 at 19:46:01 PDT, seller added the following information: I have been getting questions rear end gears and the title, I was told the rear gears are 390 posi, and the title is clear. hope this helpsOn Mar-21-11 at 19:32:14 PDT, seller added the following information: Here is a link to Shutterfly for the additional, requested photos of the undercarriage and engine compartment of the Cuda. There is no rust through anywhere, the car was undercoated from the factory and appears to be very well preserved. http://jimmycherryphotos.shutterfly.com/pictures/8
