Here for sale is a 1954 Ford F100, stored in a barn in North Carolina, it was last tagged in 1991. This truck was used on a farm and kept in a barn. Some time in it's life, the original engine was removed and a 351 Cleveland engine was installed, the rest of the drive train, is original. This truck runs and drives great, with no problems. All lights, inside and out, including the heater, work fine, with the exception of the fuel guage and the temperature guage which were replaced with after market guages. Even the old FM converter, works when it wants to. When I purchased this truck, we gave it an oil change, new plugs, rebuilt the brakes, new air filter, voltage regulator and ingnition switch (which is universal). I then spent over $3000.00 on the following add ons, they are all brand new parts, I will do my best to list them all... F-100 chrome emblems Front hood emblem Front V-8 grill emblem Right and Left stainless steel headlight rings Driver side and passenger side mirrors Pair of stainless steel wiper arms with blades American made running boards Front bed panel Tailgate Tailgate stainless steel chain mounts Front stainless steel bumper, brackets and bolts Rear stainless steel bumper and bolts Rear windshield rubber seal, not installed New door weather strip, not installed Upon viewing the photos, you will see that this is a nice, straight old truck with nice lines. The only rust through is a very small spot just behind the front fenders and bubbling on the rear cab corners, not rusting through and on the very bottom of the rear passenger side fender where the running board bolts to the fender. It was reinforced with a new piece of metal and it is not visible. Light rust on the bottom of the driver side door, very minor and passenger door is even less. Both visible in the photos and very easily repaired. That's about it, all the drip rails and all the other areas that usually have rust, do not. The floor is in excellent shape, red clay and light surface rust on the underside which is usual for a 1954 vehicle but no scale rust and looks to be in very good condition. I have been driving this truck for the last few days, it drives like a typical straight axel but no problems. I got a lot of "thumbs up" and it's a blast to drive! You can leave it as is and have that Rat Rod look or restore it. Keep in mind that all of the expensive replacement parts have already been purchased and installed and will make the restoration a lot more inexpensive.
