Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is a 1966 Honda Dream CA 72 motorcycle with 16,069 miles on the odometer. This is a great project bike with a free motor, key and a clear title to go along with it. Please review all pictures and I will try and explain as much about the bike as I can.The gas tank as is not the original tank from this bike. It has small pin holes were the metal is exposed (see picture) and will require welds to seal. All of the fuel lines were removed because of being dry rotted. The rubber gaskets in the petcock are going to need replacing as well for the same reason. The bike is shown without the exhaust pipes because the ones that were temporarily on it were not the correct pipes. They are Honda pipes but don't fit correctly. They are pictured and will be included with the sale.It has highway bars on the front and has the two side covers. It is missing the two smaller arched carb covers though as well as the mirrors on the handlebar. It will need obviously to be repainted since the existing paint isn't very good. There is a crack in the rear tail light housing and both the front light and back light bulb will need replacing.I hooked a battery up to it and the light inside the speedometer housing lit up.There are white wall tires on it now and they hold air. The white coloring is beat and would look a lot better with new tires on it.The brakes are free and the clutch is free as well. The seat is in decent condition with a few imperfections on it (see picture). This would make a great candidate for a restore since the CA72's are harder to come by. I was considering it but I am in the process of restoring a similar bike. The bike is being sold "as is" and is only available for local pickup. Deposit of $250 is required through Paypal within 3 days of auction end. Balance of payment can be payed in cash in person at time of pickup or through paypal. Thank you for looking and good luck bidding!
