HISTORY : this car was cosmetically restored 15 years ago and was used for local shows and summertime cruising. it was mechanically mantained as needed to keep eveything up to par and was driven very little during that time. the owner began to start a family and the ole girl saw less and less road action last being registered in 2003. i rescued the car from her dry resting place and began to bring it back to life. now she is road worthy and reliable needed only a few things to make it a top notch cruiser again. NEW PARTS: match set of uniroyal tiger paws, ( the left front is mounted backwards after i had a rim leak fixed the dumb kid mounted it backwards and destroyed the factory hub cap to boot. ), battery, cables, hoses, belt, fluids, voltage regulator, resurfaced intake, rebuilt brake master and wheel cylinders, repacked bearings, water pump. NEEDS : front glass and drivers glass cracked (all flat glass), interior gadgets such as heater, radio, dash lights, wipers, fuel gauge need trouble shooting. could use a tune-up and choke work. needs oil changed again. she's a little cold blooded. engine drips a little oil on the garage floor. brake shoes are a little sticky but i think they just need to be used a little more. WORKS : alt & oil gauge, horn , headlights, brake lights, turn signals, speedometer & odometer, cooling and charging system, brakes & clutch are fine. BODY RUST : a few bubbles on the lower front drivers rear fender. a little showing under the front fender moldings. PAINT: very shiny overall but flat surfaces have checked with age. still very presentable as you can see in the pics. the paint job was a professional job and it shows. all the door jambs, trunk area were sprayed. a good buffing would do wonders for sure ! PRIOR RUST REPAIR : i've restored cars myself and i know what to look for. this car is very straight and not a bit wavey. very little filler has been detected. i can't see where anything has been patched over on the body. UNDER CARRIAGE : underneath the frame is solid. NO WEAK SPOTS. the front floors and spare tire well were fixed once before and are holding up well. there are six body mounts on each side. all are rock solid except the two right under the doors on each side. the inner rockers are weak in that area also. trunk pan, rear floors and bumper filler pans are solid. INTERIOR: very nice and is good as is. front buckets are really nice but they are red. a custom stiched set of covers for the buckets and the back seat look fine. the headliner is really nice and yes....purple. door panels, visors and dash are nice. DRIVEABILITY : i've personally driven this car at highway speeds and around town. i think i put on around 50 miles or so. she goes down the road straight and don't wonder, steering is tight as is the tranny. clutch grips good. brakes are okay but are a little " grabby". i think the shoes are gummed up. other than that she's a runner. TERMS : paid in full 3 days after auction ends. i will contact the winning bidder on payment methods. i will work with your shipper to make it easy. i have plenty of room here and the car can sit for awhile as long as i get paid in 3 days. if you don't live in the USA....i will not sell to you period. if you are new to ebay or have bad feedback i will delete and block you. thanks and God bless !
