Vehicle Detail
Funky, cruise-ready AMC Rambler Classic! This car turns heads wherever it goes. You'll be the hit of your local cruise night. I listed this last week and there were plenty of bids, but it fell short at $5,400. I'm opening the bidding this time around at the Seller's rock bottom number with NO RESERVE. This is a fantastic deal for a vintage car in this condition. Don't wait until the last minute to bid and miss out. Three day auction only! This beautiful Classic has covered just 58,000 miles since new. The paint is shiny and the chrome is quite good - a little pitting on the grille bars that can be seen in the close-up photos. It was repainted in the distant past, but overall it shows very well. A ding or imperfection here and there, but it is as nice as it looks in the photos. Specifically, there is a small dent on the roof just above the driver's window - see the phtoto. Likely a paintless dent guy could resolve it easily. All glass is good and the trim is intact. The interior is excellent. The carpets show very little wear and the seats are free of rips or tears. The headliner is perfect. It is a rust-free, solid driver that will take you anyplace you want to go in style. The Custom was the basic Rambler for 1960, but this car was nicely equipped with the following options (original costs shown): Flash-O-Matic push button transmission ($199) Single speaker radio ($75.62) Heater with "Weather Eye" ventilation ($82.40) Two-tone paint ($22.95) Clock ($15.95) Rear view mirror, inside ($4.95) Rear view mirror, outside ($5.25) Reclining front seats ($29.50) Notably, this model did not come with the optional "Oil Filter"... The car sports four brand-new wide whitewall tires (the spare looks to be an original tire), new generator and a new fuel pump. It starts right up and idles smoothly. It is very pleasant to drive. Just roll down the windows and cruise. I am not the owner of this car. I've posted this ad for the owner who is not an ebay user. I am happy to answer any questions I can or I'll pass them on to him for an answer. The car shows Maine tags and has a clear Maine title but is currently in South Carolina for the winter. It will remain here until sold so shipment will be from SC. I am happy to help with shipping arrangements but all transport costs are the Buyer's responsibility. Feel free to call Eric with questions. (843) 321-1648. Good luck!
