Up for bid is my 1956 Mercury Monclaire two door hardtop! I have way to many cars to build so heres your chance to pick up a rare merc! Nice original CALIFORNIA car PLEASE look at the pics closely. This merc has been parked since the mid 1990's! So far we got the engine to run. I have bought new water pump,new fuel pump,new battery cables,starter solinoid,battery,etc etc to get it running. We have NOT started on the brake system which you WILL have to do since its been sitting so long.Very straight an solid car NO RUST THROUGH that I have found. Someone has changed the engine and trans to a later model ford 351 or 400? with an automatic trans. Exhaust will need to be rodone. Interior is complete but will need to be redone. Windshield has a crack (split down the center)in it. Primer spots are dents someone fixed 20 years ago. NO metal has been replaced. Hood lip trim is misssing and I believe one fender chrome piece is missing.Radio is missing. This is the top of the line merc of its day and what a complete restoration project. I bought this merc at an estate sale auction and will give you all paper work they gave me. I can store it for 30 . Thanks and good luck! Since the car sat so long the owner could not find the pink slip but DID GET THE CORRECT PAPERWORK to the auction company I bought it from. Register and get your pink slip! If I do it for you it will cost an extra 200.00 and takes FOREVER! Ca. DMV is very behind!
