This is a 2004 Chevy Silverado 1500 Work Truck THE GOOD: This truck has had only one owner and one driver, no kids, no employees, just me. It has 69,568 miles on it and has been maintained with oil changes. (3000 to 4000 miles) It has a bed liner, ($300) a large cross bed tool box, ($450) a smaller in the bed tool box, ($300) Ramps for loading wheeled power tools ($50) and a system one ladder rack ($1,100)! THE BAD: I took the truck to a local mechanic and had him look it over and he found two things that will need attention. The back brake rotors need to be replaced, they are pitted (Midas quote $500) The outer tie rods need to be replaced (Midas quote $250 includes alignment) I had a fender bender soon after I bought the truck minor front bumper and grill damage no paint repair. (The repair was done at the dealership) THE UGLY: The truck exterior has its share of dents and dings (it is a work truck) all around that comes with loading and unloading materials and tools and working in the city of Philadelphia. The truck interior has its share of dents and dings that comes with being driven by a contractor. THE OVERALL: This is a good truck that has earned its pay and is ready to earn more, just not for me. I am not desperate to sell this truck and I will not consider a low ball offer, so don’t ask. I am the type who wants to be fair and forthright and will be fair with you. The Kelly blue book trade in value for this truck in fair condition is $4,650 and the private party value for fair condition is $6,225. I figure that this truck is in the middle of that which puts it around $5,450 minus the $750 for the work that needs to be done is $4,700.00. The reserve is set under that number which I did to be very fair as I see it. Good luck to all regardless of interest!
