Vehicle Detail

What I've got is a 1999 Jeep Cherokee 4x4 5 speed. It's the rarer 2 door version. The part that may surprise you is that it's high mileage. It's got somewhere north of 260,000 miles (on the body, NOT the engine). It was licked pretty good by a little Celica a year ago in the back, but it's hard to tell at first. The paint, though it's original, has stood the test of time well and still shines to a beautiful deep green. During my ownership, I've added a 3 inch lift. The wheels are actually very clean and good-looking, a rarity on any battle-tested Jeep. I always had a set of 31 inch BFGoodrich All-Terrains on, and anyone worth their salt who drives off-road can tell you these tires are the cream of the crop as far as on-road quality and off-road performance. Tires have well over 75% of life left. I work at Discount Tire, and the tires do have the warranty, which would transfer over to you, meaning they are still fully covered and can be rotated and balanced for free for their life at any Discount/America's Tire store. I even have one of the tires from the previous set as a full size spare in the back. There's an aftermarket JVC stereo in the dash and 4 Alpine speakers all around. Interior is extremely clean, with a brand new headliner within the last year or so. Last, but certainly not least, is the motor. My dad and I started with a 4.0 motor out of 1992 Cherokee (Jeep guys know the motors from around this year have the best flowing heads), tore it all down and had all the machine work and head work done by Mike's crew at Midland Engine & Machine. Engine builders in the know, know that Mike's engines are at tolerances tighter than what NASA would allow. After an entire rebuild, what we were left with was a 4.6 liter straight 6 with torque like a freight train and a torque curve like a diesel. The motor has less than 30,000 miles on it (I think more like 24k, but my memory is fading on the original mileage). You won't find a better sounding, better performing, better-equipped Cherokee to take off road and turn into one sweet trail rig. Or keep it how it is and make it your daily driver, like I do. I get compliments on it all the time. Any shipping arrangements will be at the by and at the cost of the seller. It's raining pretty bad here in Charlotte right now, so I can't get any decent pictures at the moment, but send me a message and I'd be happy to take some once the weather clears up. Happy bidding! On Mar-08-11 at 19:08:49 PST, seller added the following information:I meant buyer, not seller when referring to the shipping arrangements. Also, the JBL subwoofer in the back aftermarket enclosure is actually bad. It doesn't work and I've already removed the amp for it, but I'm leaving the enclosure and speaker wire (routed cleanly underneath the interior panels) for the new owner to add his or her own new speaker. There is, however, a powered 6.5 inch subwoofer underneath the seat to make up for the bass. Also, that's mud on the rear axle, not rust. Please keep asking me questions. I'm more than happy to be honest with this Jeep.On Mar-08-11 at 21:33:20 PST, seller added the following information:I would also like to comment on how underestimated this motor/vehicle combination is. My buddy was stuck in a full-size Ford Bronco. We're talking a half-ton full-size pickup sized automobile, stuck in at least 3 feet of the nasty mud, sideways. Don't ask how, he just was. I found some nice pulling ground nearby, hooked onto his trailer hitch and this Jeep yanked him 90 degrees and out of the mud with little effort. On two bald tires up front and two good ones in the back. This motor is no joke off-road.
