Vehicle Detail

THE GOOD Reliable and Safe. Solid Vehicle for it's age and mileage. Oil was changed every 5,000 miles New Battery 3/1/2011 New hood release cable & 2 new hood latches 3/1/2011 Current inspection sticker good through 2012 No issues starting, driving, shifting, or stopping. Exterior and interior in decent shape. Tires are in decent shape. I wouldn't have an issue driving anywhere. THE BAD Needs Work -Brakes will need to be done much sooner than later. -Air-conditioning works for a few minutes then stops blowing cold. -Sunroof slides open back and forth fully but does not open up. -Could use a tune-up and a thorough look over to anticipate any other issues. -Timing belt was done at 110,000 miles. -Passenger side control arm was replaced in Sept. 2010. The drivers side might need to be replaced also. THE UGLY Exterior -Cracked windshield -Some dents and dings. For the major ones I have provided photographs. Interior -12 Volt plug in center dash is pushed into console I've had the car since June of 2001 when I bought it from my father who bought it new. My girlfriend has driven it since 2006. We currently own a '98 C70, an '84 240 Diesel Wagon, and just purchased a 2005 XC70. It's time to make some room in the driveway. The car is solid but does need some work. Once work is done this car won't disappoint. I'd be willing to drive it anywhere to deliver for a price. Otherwise pick up or delivery is the responsibility of the winning bidder. Car is sold as-is with no guarantees or warranties. Car is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction if it sells. This is the Kelley Blue Book Value: Good $3,810 Free of any major defects. Clean title history, the paints, body, and interior have only minor (if any) blemishes, and there are no major mechanical problems. Little or no rust on this vehicle. Tires match and have substantial tread wear left. A "good" vehicle will need some reconditioning to be sold at retail. Most consumer owned vehicles fall into this category. Fair $3,085 Some mechanical or cosmetic defects and needs servicing but is still in reasonable running condition. Clean title history, the paint, body and/or interior need work performed by a professional. Tires may need to be replaced. There may be some repairable rust damage. kbb.com I'd say the car falls somewhere in between the good and fair values, leaning more towards the fair value. Reserve is much lower than fair value.
