Automatically change colors or push button to keep one color. VOLTAGE/ OIL TEMP/ OIL PRESSURE Mallory custom fitted fuel gauge (reads slightly off- about 1/4 off- but better than no gauge) Blue LED toggle buttons for wiper controls and headlight controls Chrome turn signal controller Blue Glow light on dash, when light turns OFF, lets you know alternator is working correctly Has chrome E-brake *isn't functional, needs cable adjustments (only installed for safety insp.) ENGINE: 1641 cc dual Solex 40 carbs- case painted blue at time of restore in 2005- 633 miles since rebuild Started with a vintage 1967 case, restored and cleaned then completely rebuilt with all new gaskets and parts. Runs solid, strong compression. Carbs were new in 2005: Dual SOLEX 40 * comes with jet kit with 3 different size jets. I use the smaller jets for emission control for street legal, and can switch out to a larger jets for more power and speed. Carbs are warm blooded and need to warm up to idle speed when cold. Compu-fire chrome performance voltage dist. Replaced points to electronic points Blue heavy gauge performance spark plug wiring Electronic performance fuel pump *you can hear it pumping when key is turned on, don’t like hearing it but it works better than a stock pump, have a lower powered pump that’s quieter will throw it in with the extra parts- see below for extra parts Chrome shroud cover, top tin covers, alternator stand, oil filler, dipstick, and distributor *Added an exterior oil cooler that attached right behind shroud, this isn’t seen but helps keep the car running much cooler -Chromed mega dual exhaust pipes, with removable baffles louder than any motorcycle you will pass. Custom IRON CROSS pulleys "BMD" with adjustable belt tensioner. Very cool feature. Will give old pulleys as well see extra parts. SCAT chrome valve covers. Aluminum blue removable push rod tubes. These make it much easier to replace worn gaskets without loosening the heads. Some of the gasket appear to have started cracking but are fine. I have a full set of replacement gaskets that will be included. New when built in 2005- Alternator, starter, belts and cooling fan EXTRAS: These items I will add with the auction since wont need them after the auction ends. FREE EXTRA 4 tires and rims with full treads on 5 lug rims 15R165- can switch to these rims if you use off road then put the nice rims back on for the road 5 to 4 lug adapters Old front drum brakes (replaced with front disc brakes) Mirrors, pulleys, license place frame with light (safety requirement for street legal), electric fuel pump, push rods and tubes, misc parts and gaskets, many Volkswagen parts NOTES: This was a garage kept project, the chrome was wiped down with oil while stored in the winter months. This is a vintage old fiberglass buggy sitting on a 1967 VW floor pan and although is mostly new parts. Its a street legal, never used in the sand since being rebuilt. ONLY consider trades for a late model Harley touring model with full fairing Some of the engine paint has chipped, there's spots on the under carriage where the POR15 paint didnt hold, a few small paint chips in the fiberglass body, * there is some top-coat runs by the driver side from where we got lazy on the fifth coat of clear coat and allowed it to drip a little. Just needs to be wet sanded. I dont really notice it so I havent done it. Windshield has crack in lower passenger corner. Normal wear and tear, but ready for the next car show or parade.
