This 1965 Ford Mustang Fastback is one of the finest examples of a classic American muscle car to come through our brokerage in years. This car is numbers matching and is in amazing condition. It has always been garage kept by each of only 3 previous owners. The car is completely rust free and has only had one repaint, which was done correctly in a two stage, base followed by clear. The paint on this car shines like a mirror and is the original Ford Rangoon Red color that it left the factory in. The interior is in near perfect condition with only the carpet showing a very small amount of wear. The seats, dash, headliner, door panels, etc. are 100% original and look just as they did when the car left the factory in 1964. All of the weather stripping and seals were replaced in the car less than 2 months ago. The windshield and rear window were also replaced at the same time. New door sill guards were also added within the past 6 months. The engine is the timeless Ford 289 V8 and is mated to the unkillable C4 automatic transmission: both are original and numbers matching. The motor in the car has been completely redone including a water pump, distributor cap, plug wires, starter, and carburetor to ensure reliability. The engine fires right up on the first turn every time. The transmission shift very smoothly, making this Mustang a joy to drive. The date on this Mustang makes it a true piece of American Muscle Car history. This great Fastback was built on September 1, 1964, making it one of the first Mustang Fastbacks off of the assembly line. It is VERY rare to find a Fastback Mustang built this early on. It is nearly impossible to find a 100% perfect classic car, but this one is very close. This great 1965 Mustang Fastback is sure to make someone truly happy.
