Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is an extremely fun and well built Porsche 911 RS look-a-like. The Tub of this car started life as a 1977 production year, was bought strictly to build this car with. This car is dialed in perfectly for someone really wanting to carve up the corners. Has a 35,000 mile 3.2 fuel injected SC motor and 917 gear box. Tranny has works short shift kit. Internals have been left alone, but is sporting a full Stainless race exhaust that isn’t to loud if you decide to turn this back into a street car. ECM has been worked for better performance and this motor runs perfect ! All electronics work for DOT purposes. Fully prepped suspension with all the right bushings and Bilsteins shocks on all 4 corners. Nice Cross drilled Brembo rotors and Hawk pads. Full air forced oil cooling systems. True or real Porsche 16” wheels. Race adjustable seats with harness, foot kick plates and RS door panels. Big adjustable sway bars front and rear, adjustable end links. Camber and Caster set up for neutral cornering . ( doesn’t wear tires and lets you know when your on the edge before you cross it ) .. You wont be disappointed if your looking for a really nice weekend warrior or a ready to go track car. Car was built a few years ago and didn’t see enough track time to keep it. The typical my loss your gain story. Title is currently registered in Oregon . Extremely Low reserve and no I will not tell you what it is. But I guarantee it you’ll be shocked at how low it is !!!! No disappointments on this 911 Porsche !!!! Good luck and happy bidding. On Mar-02-11 at 10:25:41 PST, seller added the following information: Good morning , Had a slip of the keys when typing the description of the Porsche. It is a 3.2 SC motor with a 915 gear box ( 5 speed ) If it was a 3.2 Carrera motor it would have the G50 gear box. Have had quite a few emails in regards of making this vehicle street legal. Everything is in working order when it comes to DOT regulations to make it a street car once again. There is NO smog equipment on the Porsche, no flapper boxes, no heater exchanges. Here in California , you would need to put a stock or Smog style exhaust back on the car, other than that it would not be a problem to smog and put this car back on the street. The 3.2 motor runs and burns twice as clean as the 2.7 motor did, but it is your responsibility to check your local DMV. Another question that keeps coming up is what is fiberglass and what is metal on this car. The only things that are fiberglass are the front/rear bumpers and tail. Everything else is metal. This car was completely torn down to just the tub and was in perfect condition, it was then painted before it was assembled, so no change in color when it comes to door edges or under body gaps. Just like the factory. As for the many questions in regards to the 914 in the background and I am sure some of you have been on my website and have seen the car listed. The car is currently not for sale, and I need to get my I.T. guy to remove it. Thanks again and happy bidding !!!
