Vehicle Detail
The Hurricane has been re-listed due to a non-registered bidder, EBay has cancelled his bid. This is an exceptionally clean CBR 1000 Hurricane. Beautiful white wheels. Body color is red, white and the dark charcoal. Carburators have been professionally cleaned adjusted and synced by Belleville Honda in Belleville, Illinois. New Battleax BTO20 tires with less than 500 miles. New chain and sprocket set in stock ratio. Has a period correct Yoshimura 4 into 1 exhaust system with black muffler. Center stand still functional after exhaust installation. This is one very stock, original, collectable Hurricane, Never raced. Mature owners. There are a few minor scuffs that are shown in the pictures. This is a great bike and has a very comfortable riding position and could easily become a sport-touring ride. I'm only selling because I bought a Concours 14 and no longer ride this bike.On Mar-03-11 at 07:30:45 PST, seller added the following information: We bought the CBR1000f locally on Feb 11, 2009. I have only put about 1000 miles on it in that time. As we have other bikes we ride for trips and longer day rides. I bought this because I could not afford one when raising kids "back in the day" and really wanted one. And now it is time to move on. I installed the new chain and sprocket set right after I bought the CBR. It was purchased at Neihaus Honda in Litchfield. I also rebuilt the fuel petcock at that time and changed the oil. And as I stated in the listing, the carbs were cleaned and re-jetted by Belleville Honda in October. I do not have the original duals, the exhaust system looks to the one that was installed back when it was newer. It still has the centerstand in place. It had a red windshield and the stock one. I sold the red one. I have not needed to repalace the water pump or performed the valve clearance. That was on my list of things to get done, but I have not got to it yet.
