Vehicle Detail
1969 Camaro LM1. Pre-X Code. Turbo Fire 350 (this was the early 255HP 4bbl version), Powerglide 2 spd Auto Trans, 12 Bolt Rear. True barn find. One of 10,406 produced. (Many thanks to camaros.org and the LM1 Registry for all of your help and information.) Clean TN Title in my name. Please check my 100% positive feedback. I have sold several cars on Ebay, and am very fair and easy to deal with. *** Note: If you have ZERO or negative feedback, please contact me prior to bidding so that I know you are serious, or your bid will be cancelled. Sorry, but too many scammers and deadbeats on here. Up for sale is a mostly intact RUNNING 1969 Camaro LM1 survivor that was sitting in a barn for the better part of 25 years. Parked back in 1982/83 (perhaps due to brake issues) this car sat in an Indiana barn until sometime last year when it was rescued. Unfortunately, the barn's roof hadn't seen any upkeep during those many years, and the rain poured in. . . thus the cancer issues affecting the car. I originally wanted to get crazy with the car in a pro-tour design, but the car is too complete and unmolested to go that route in my opinion. I will be changing jobs in the coming months and will most likely have to move, so I need to find the Camaro a loving home. Unlike the "project '69 Camaros" selling for $5K plus on here without motor, trans, driveshaft, windows, wiper parts, accessory brackets, heater core/box, radiator, or even a single piece of the dash/instrument cluster, or linkage, (let's not forget about trim and chrome), THIS CAR IS COMPLETE except where noted below. The Numbers: Cowl Tag 12437NOR154641 INT Code TR 711 Paint/Top 76B Date Code 10C :Standard Black Interior, Daytona Yellow paint, Black Vinyl Top, Assy Date OCT 1968. VIN 124379N525xxx Engine: Block is a GM warranty replacement block that was replaced at the dealership in 1973. (Block # CE340943) This is known due to the fact that it was common GM warranty practice to replace ONLY the block for lower end problems in the late 60's/early 70's, and they made the dealerships use the original top end. (Heads & intake.) The original heads and intake are present. Head casting #'s 6982441, Intake # 3927184. Bottom line is that all original running gear is present (#'s matching) EXCEPT for the 1973 CE Warranty Replacement Short Block. The motor and trans work great! The engine does not tick, tap, knock, or smoke. ***I have a short video clip of the car running that I will send to your email or cell phone upon request. Trans shifts into all gears smoothly. Factory Options: Turbo Fire 350, Powerglide 2spd auto trans, 12 bolt non-posi rear (3.07:1 gear ratio), multi-leaf rear springs, dual fuel lines, pwr drum brakes, A/C, PS, column shift, tinted glass, black vinyl top. The Good: Strong motor, good shifting trans, 12 bolt rear, all glass (including spare driver's door window), all chrome & stainless trim, both bumpers, tail light lenses, PS pump (power steering works fine), new tires, 15x7 ralley rims, new 4bbl rotten-chester carb, good front sub frame, doors, trunk lid, standard hood, front grille. Fairly new battery. Starter, water pump, and alternator are all still alive and kickin'. New Stuff: Rear Tires (Firestone 265/60R15), rear-frame rails (not installed), both quarter panel skins (not installed), header panel, front bumper brackets (not installed), hood/grille bracket (not installed), complete OEM brake lines front to rear (not installed.) Other Stuff: Have the seats (2x drivers in rough shape, 1x pass in good shape, 2x rear bases, both in fair shape, 1x rear back frame only), seat belts, door lock hardware, ignition key, armrest pads and bases in good shape, sun visors, center trunk pan, driver's side floor pans (front installed). Dash & instrument cluster are complete minus the HVAC control panel and the radio. Also still have most of the factory emblems and the original factory air cleaner. All of the original factory A/C components are intact, but the compressor is locked-up. Also have the headlight bezels, spare 15x6 ralley, bumper jack (1969 Chevy Pass Car), base, & tire iron.Front tires are 235/70R15 in almost new condition. What about caps and rings for the Ralleys? I have 2x GM turbine style center caps, and 2x GM Disc Brake Style smaller caps. Have 2x beauty rings. What's missing? The gas tank, exhaust past the y-pipe, headliner, driver's door panel, rear package tray cover, the radio & speakers, and the HVAC control panel. Where is the major cancer/rust? Rear frame rails (have new ones), rear quarter panels (have new ones), trunk pan (have center section), spot behind right rear shock tower area, the floor pans (have driver's side pans, front already installed), driver's rocker area, typical rust @ bottom of both front fenders. What are the other major issues? The brake system needs a total rebuild (have new OEM hard lines), and the wiring harness is shot. Body mount bushings are bad. Providence/Paperwork? I have copies of the previous Indiana Title dating back to 1979, the Indiana license plate from 1982 when the car was parked in the barn, all receipts since I have owned the car, and the clear TN title in my name. The milage of 71k shown on the odometer may or may not be actual. Your guess is as good as mine. No, you cannot drive the car home. (Brakes and wiring harness are shot!) I know I'm leaving some stuff out, so please feel free to call, text, or email with any questions. Again, I have a short video clip of the car running (Car is run via fuel line from pump to gas can, hot wire to ign coil, & remote starter switch to relay.) that I can send to your email or cell phone. I can be reached at 757 927-1582. The car is located in Clarksville, TN, about 40 miles north of Nashville. Serious inquiries only, please. Cash or PayPal only. I will not ship the vehicle, but will assist with loading the car for you or your carrier. A $500 non-refundable deposit via PayPal is required within 48 hours of auction's end to hold the vehicle for up to 14 days. Vehicle should be paid for in full and picked up within that time. Thanks for looking, and Happy Roddin'!
