I have owned this vehicle for the just shy of 2 years and have found it to be super fun to drive! It is also really comfortable and spacious even in the back seat for your passengers. You will be able to fit a TON in the trunk and to fit even more- the back seats can fold down to extend the trunk which has allowed me to transport large items without having to convince a friend with a truck to help me out. Due to the car's age and in the anticipation that I would keep it for a long period of time I dropped a pretty penny on updating everything (I'm selling it due to a move to a mega city that is not car owner friendly.) Bellow you will see a list of the of services/updates that have been done, recites are available for verification. I am listing the car for a slightly more then blue book due to the extent of upgrades. This car has everything it needs to be good for another 100k miles (of coarse excluding regular oil changes and things along these lines.) The car's imperfections are as follows:-glove box latch is broken but is still easily openable (a replacement latch is 20ish dollars online)-the driver's side rear door lock top is missing (haven't had the chance to search for a replacement but seems like it would be simple enough- it just screws in and is only decorative as the locks are automatic) Services and updates:-passed DEQ (emissions test) in Oct of 2010-New front brake pads and rotors, new brake shoes and throttlebody cleaned in May of 2010 ($600)-4 new all season tires with alignment purchased in Jan of 2010 ($400)-new ignition switch in Jan of 2010 ($200)-Timing belt service completed in Jan of 2010 ($200)-New front speakers installed in Sept of 2009 ($75)-80k mile recommended service completed in July of 2009 ($770)total updates from reputable mechanics= $2245 Kelly blue book "good" condition= $3440Selling for= $4500 (so you save $1200 on upgrades you would otherwise need to put into an older car because I've already done it for you:)) Other details:-handles extremely well-turns on a dime- easy breezy to get in and out of tight spaces-100% visibility to avoid those pesky erratic drivers -old style 99 Jetta model which I personally prefer because it's a looks little retro -4 previous owners-clean title-cd player with removable face-lovely standard VW anthem when turning the car on -groovy (and easily changed if you don't happen to love as much as I do) gear shifter cover
