Vehicle Detail

Don't let the mileage scare you this car has been completely rebuilt from the ground up If you love these fwd cars like I do you will see the care given to this ride. The article is long but between it and the many pictures you will see what great shape the car truly is in! This is the second time listing because a guy in George used the buy it now option and his wife talked him out of it. He was thrilled about the car and because it sold high I spent a few extra nights double checking all for any bugs and also reinstalled all the ac stuff along with a bunch of new parts! Photo bucket links: the second link is to a slideshow version http://s1128.photobucket.com/albums/m485/esbrandt/ http://s1128.photobucket.com/albums/m485/esbrandt/?albumview=slideshow I have owned fwd Mopar's for a while now and think it's time for a change the first to the auction block is my 91 Dodge Daytona I purchased the car back in high school as a parts car but after I got it home realized it was in pretty great shape needing only a fuel pump. This car started life as an 4sp automatic but last summer it was seamlessly converted to a 5sp manual and I guarantee that without running the VIN# you will never know the difference. The automatic transmission control computer and wiring were removed and when checked on one of the rare diagnostic machines still around for the car it threw no codes so the ECU has no issues whatsoever. Less than 2,000 miles ago a valve job was done the block still showed great cross hatching and had no ring at the top of the bore!! The heads were cleaned, surfaced, pressure checked and completely rebuilt using nice felpro gaskets with Mopar head bolts so don't worry about the valve guides and valve stems going any time soon no stoplight smoke here. I also have an red Shelby Daytona parts car minus body stashed on a shelf ranging from the doors, dash, bumpers, spoilers, hatch and everything in between that if you buy the car will throw in any parts at a great price aka cheap!! Before/ while paining the car I pulled all the interior out except the dash all the seats, carpet, headliner and plastic to check for rust and none was found so I shampooed the carpet and cleaned everything else thoroughly to get rid of a previous owners smoking habit so now without seeing the pictured burn in the rear seat it's like it never happened. Drive the car anywhere I take it 2 hours to school with no worries whatsoever and on my last trip got 29.4 miles per gallon doing 75-80 mph which is a smidge better than a 2010 v6 Honda accord with only 29mpg !! Parts last 5,000 miles had to make it my dd for a few months so i gave it a MAJOR overhaul first · Repainted completely including all door jams and under hatch using ppg/omni paint 2.5 years ago · NOS Mopar upper windshield trim · New Melling Oil pump · New water pump · New bosh oxygen sensor <100 miles · New drivers axle lifetime warranty · New passenger axle lifetime warranty · New radiator lifetime warranty · New flywheel · New clutch, pressure plate and throw out bearing · New axle and input shaft seals · New Moog Ball joints · New variable rate front springs great for rough country roads · New srt-4 front struts sensatrac lifetime warranty (lowered front end by about 2") · New larger bosh fuel pump/strainer · New fuel filter · New fuel filler neck grommet · All new fuel hoses(everything not steel) · New idler pulley <100 miles · New tensioner pulley <100 miles · New alternator bearings <100 miles · New heater hoses · New gates cam belt · New Goodyear gatorback serpentine belt · New upper engine mount · New front engine mount · and I'm sure i missed a few · new reciever dryer napa · new expansion valve napa · new napa R-12 to R134 conversion plugs · and I'm sure i missed a few All parts listed were purchased new and with lifetime warranty if possible this car has always been cared for with the mindset of doing it right the first time as I planned to keep the car. Other parts changed on the car · Modified neon strut tops to fit the Daytona bolt pattern · Larger throttle body off the newer 3.8L greatly improves throttle response and mpg · New door speakers with custom made enclosures to improve sound and seal rear of speaker to possible dust and water · 1, 1/16" front sway bar I have a 1.25 Shelby bar, if the car sells high it's yours · Installed a solid trans mount that came with the transmission · an ac compressor off a working system on one of dads cars with a blown head gasket I combined the stock exhaust and that of an 89 Shelby turbo to give the car a full stainless exhaust that was tig welded and has zero clearance issues. The original muffler tip was a little too short and caused the bumper skirt to slightly deform, the tip has been changed to fix the problem. That and I set the parking brake to loose one night and it rolled forward a few feet to scratch the front bumper just a little but everything is well picture documented please take time to look. The AC system was vacuumed down for 3 hours and held vacuum for a while, so I charged it with 2 cans of Freon all was working well with the cold side at 23 degrees and the hot at 108-110 I was adding the last of the freon when the system slowly started leaking down and here we are If you've made it this far you can tell I have spent many hours and thousands of dollars in parts alone on just this one of my two Daytona's I have an engine sitting on a stand ready for a RWD conversion. But an low miles corvette has given me the excuse not to spend the money to do my planned RWD Megasquirt conversion and to part ways with the car as it is in excellent mechanical condition so why take it apart. Both my Daytona's receive complements for always being clean inside and out by all who ride in them although I have not redone the interior in this car I do what I can to keep it clean. They have been a true joy to learn to drive, paint and believe it or not work on over the years and now it's time for something new and even faster. I would like a 100.00$ deposite at the end of the auction just so i know you intend to buy the car and not just bid on it, the rest can be paid in cash or certified check at pickup. Thanks for your time I hope you are still interested please send me any questions and I'll get back as asap or give me a call at 980-621-4899.
