Vehicle Detail

Zero rust, black plate California car. Straight-6 (carbureted). Automatic trans. Runs well and drives but THE ENGINE HAS A ROD KNOCK and the trans needs to be gone through. New battery, new tires and complete new brake system about 2 years ago. Original paint. Interior is in nice shape: Cognac MBTex is in excellent condition. The carpet in the driver's footwell is worn through and the finish on the wood strip right beneath the windshield has gone flakey. But, otherwise, the interior is in nice shape. Original AM Blaupunkt radio. Power steering. No a/c. Both front window regulators will need to be replaced. The window motors work but the regulators are warped so the drive gears do not engage to lower and raise the windows. Rear passenger windows work fine. The trunk has the original mat and the original spare tire (!). The body is straight and the original paint is in decent shape. There is one noticeable dent in the left side C-Pillar which is visible in the photo. The bottom half of one of the rear doors has been resprayed (same color as the rest of the car). Other than that, the paint has the usual small chips and dings that accumulate from parking and wear & tear. I don't see any signs that the car has ever been in a significant accident. All electrics work. All instruments work with the exception of the temperature gauge. The odometer works and shows 06,988mi. When I got the car in 2003, it had about 98,000mi on the clock. This car was my daily driver for years. The engine and trans got tired so I parked it. Nice project for someone who would like to fix it up. Or, an excellent parts car. Prime material for an engine swap or a custom. I have a few of extra parts that are available at additional cost: Spare Cylinder Head, Zenith carbs with manifold, Crankshaft.
