This auction is for an as-is Salvage titled Mercedes Benz C280 - 1997. The car was purchased from a dealer in 2005 and was planned to be a project car, but due to economic climate changes was not possible for full restoration. The car does turn on and can be driven, however there are some known issues that I have identified with regard to turn lights not working correctly, the emergency brake seems to not release all the way each time, the radio is not operable because there are missing buttons and the screen will not illuminate. The clear coat paint on the hood, top and rear of the car is peeling off due to sitting outside in the sun and rain uncovered for many years. A new battery was installed in December and carries a warranty through Kragen/ O'Reilly autoparts. This car is being SOLD AS IS - it is being sold as a for parts car, no warranty implied or otherwise. To register this car in CA the current registration and back fees due are approximately $600 - other states would depend on the sales tax and any fees and inspections needed. If you are interested in this car for restoration or dismantling, I recommend coming out to take a look at the car and inspect it for yourself, as this is an as is auction.
