1965 Ford Mustang Fastback Here is a very nice, mostly original California (Black-Plate) Mustang Fastback. This is very solid car with all of the original body panels. The floors, frame rails, rockers, shock tower, aprons, and front radiator support are all solid. The only area of concern under the car is the very last 6" where the shackle attaches to the frame rail. This is showing signs of rust. The cowl area, including the hats, is solid and does not leak. The exterior body panels are also believed to be original to the car. It appears that the car is still wearing much of the original paint with some lower touch up being done on the lower portions some years ago. The rear quarters and wheel house are the original and are in very good shape. The doors are solid as well. There is a few spots where the paint is starting to bubble needing minor repair. Everything works in this car including gauges, radio, wipers, heater, lights and signals. The car runs and drives great. I would drive it anywhere. The previous owner installed a holley carb and headers. This is a true dual exhaust car. The transmission shifts as it should, but does leak a little. Dry seals from sitting. The mileage is beleived to be correct. This is a great little car that can be enjoyed now, but can be restored to show winning condition with much less work than most.
