I have my 1989 Toyota Corolla, 4dr, 5 spd, sedan for sale. I didn't want to sell it, its been in our family for a while, and gave us great service. It has a good body, very little rust at all. My daughter was at the car wash with it and a guy motioned for her to pull out, she hesitated and they both pulled out at the same time, his bumper done the damage to the drivers door that is shown. The glass is not broken and the door could be fixed or find another one. It needs a battery, it puffs a little blue when you start it up, there is a short in the switch or the hot wire from the battery or starter wire or something, it will start with no trouble most of the time, and then it won't even do anything, like the batteries dead, but you can jump it and it will start, so maybe you know what it is, I'm no mechanic. That's why I drive toyotas. This car's transmission (5sp) has had the 3rd gear out of it for 5 years and we always just drove it like that, my daughter drove it to college 3 years about 40 miles each way and never had any trouble just get it going pretty good in 2nd and go to 4th, and we live in the hills of Southern WV, so it wouldn't give anyone trouble where its flatter ground. I think that about covers the bad about it, I think the tires are fair, its a treat to drive, clutch is good, motor, rear end and drive train all good except that one gear. It doesn't have a stereo, my daughter took hers out. Oh, the intereor is pretty nice, just need cleaned out, Its a cute little car and 161K is not that much for a Toyota. I didn't really want to sell it, but we are car poor around here. If you have a trailer to haul it on would be nice, till you get a battery and find out about that short, if your'e a mechanic, I'd say you could probably get it home driving it.
