Vehicle Detail
First of all let me say that this bike does have a REBUILT salvage title that was issued on August 2006; the bike has been registered and ridden by me only since that time with no issues. The whole reason it has a rebuilt salvage title is because of the idiots at ASK Powersports in Grove City, OH. I took it there for repairs around April or May of 06, and their service manager took it out and wrecked it while "test driving" it. It was mostly fairing damage, broken foot pegs, and things like that, but since the frame had a scratch on it below the gas tank (which I would have to point out to you and you'd say I was crazy) the insurance company said it must be totaled. They said it would cost more to disassemble and re-powder coat the frame than it would be to write me a check, because they are required to return the bike to its original condition. They wrote me the check, I bought the bike back from them with that money, and rebuilt it myself to what it is now using the extra cash. It was inspected and approved for the road by the Highway Patrol back in August 2006, and I must stress that all this happened within 6-months of me buying the bike from a private seller. I repaired it that same year, and have driven it for the past 5 years as it stands now after having it inspected. No problems other than replacing tires, brakes, chain, sprockets and battery regularly as is normal with any bike. Below are some of the add-ons and pertinent info needed: VIN# JS1GW71A732100645 Brand new EK530 DRZ2 Drag Chain Chrome installed and have less than 50 miles on them. Loud and throaty...way better than a Yosh & Muzzy pipe. This is a full system, not just a slip on muffler. BikeMaster TrueGel Battery installed this past Spring, and kept inside all this winter. Actual miles: 19,207 More pictures available upon request but they're too large to upload. Contact me and I'll send more through email. The bike is built to drag race, but I have never raced it one time since I bought it. Don't get me wrong, I've hauled ass on this bike before and scared myself to death but I haven't been doing no Fast & the Furios stuff on the streets or track. I wanted the look, feel, and ability to race it, but never really had the balls to line it up and go for it. I would drive it back & forth to work (35 miles roundtrip) but mostly my wife and I would cruise around on the weekends or take it to Old Man's Cave occasionally, but since having another child we have no time to do this. My transmission went out on my truck and now I need this for a down payment on a new vehicle. I absolutely LOVE this bike, and have babied it since I purchased it but I have to let it go to buy something I can drive year round. There are only a couple cosmetic defects on the fairings: *the undertail* has a hole in it the size of a golf ball from where the rear tire would rub on tight right turns with my 115 lb. wife on the back. This thing is a low-rider, so be careful. The toe of my shoe has rubbed the ground coming off a leftbound exit ramp. You can find a new tail for it on eBay for less than $100 painted already to match just like I did. There are a few small scratches on the left side fairing that can be seen in one pic. The worst looking damage to the fairing is on the lower right side fairing; a speedbump caught the fairing and cracked it. It cracked the lower fairing, but someone with some fiberglass skills may be able to mold something up. If not, the other side could be cut with a saw to match. It is only the part that covers the mid-pipe and it get's hot anyways. I have taken as many pics as I can, but if you need more let me know. Serious buyers only and buyer must arrange pick-up or shipping of the bike. I will take cash, money orders, or paypal, but buyer is paying the fees. If you want to pay by personal check I'll take it but you won't get physical possession of the bike or the title until the check clears. The Kelly Blue-Book on this in completely stock condition is $6200 and expected mileage of 26,400. Add the aftermarket parts and modifications, low miles, and even with the salvage title and small cosmetic defects....this bike is worth AT LEAST $7500. I'd be willing to take $6,000 for it! If you want to test drive it locally before you buy it I'm fine with it, but I'll need $6,000 cash in my hand before you leave with the bike.On Feb-20-11 at 14:15:06 PST, seller added the following information:Including Haynes repair manual and a Pit Bull rear stand if wanted.
