Vehicle Detail

Note: I had this Scout listed on eBay a few weeks ago. I had a committed Buyer who “definitely” wanted it so I ended the eBay listing. I’ve held it all this time but he had some personal issues pop up and had to back out. I had a ton of calls and if I didn’t get back to you it was because I really thought he was going to take it and I apologize. I’ll be happy to answer any questions and thanks for checking out my Scout. Up for sale is my 1974 International Harvester Scout II. Automatic Transmission, Four Wheel Drive, Origional Dealer Installed working A/C, and Origional AMC 258ci engine. This Scout is very origional and unmolested. Origional paint, origional chrome rims, interior is origional and in good condition including the origional radio. Great mechanical condition. Starts, runs, and drives great. Four Wheel Drive works well. A couple of the instrument gauges don't appear to be working (oil pressure & temp), I haven't had time to check those out yet. Otherwise, I can't find anything else not working properly. I traded for this Scout a couple of month ago and was really impressed with how origional it is. Evidently, it was someone's grocery getter as it doesn't appear to have been for off road use. I put new shocks on the front and rear. My plans were to drive it some and maybe paint it, but I'm really tight on space right now. The Scout does have some rust (as most do) but not as bad as most. It will need new rocker panels, a quarter patch for behind the driver's door, and some small patch work around the inside wheel wells. You can buy these premade patches online, which is what I planned on doing. The bottom of doors are in great shape as well as the tailgate. Of course you could just drive it like it is. It's very nostalgic and gets lots of complements. If you want something that has not been "doctored", this is the Scout for you. If you're looking for an unmolested Scout, this one is a really nice one at a reasonable price. I will consider trades for classic cars, farm equipment, and lawn & garden equipment. My name is Matthew and thanks for checking out my Scout and please give me a call if you have questions at 276-608-5425. Also, the Scout is available for inspection and I reserve the right to end the listing at anytime.
