1970 Triumph Bonneville

Up for auction is a 1970 Triumph Bonneville T120 RT,Numbers Matching. In 1970 Triumph wanted to race 750cc bike. The AMA said if you want to race These750's you will have to produce 200 of them. Triumph made 204. Triumph Put a Routt Big Bore kit on the bikes at the point of entry in the US. I purchased this bike from a person in California. Someone in the previous years have repainted the bike but not a quality paint job. The scallops are wrong and the paint job not very good. The rest of the bike is original I believe,except one of the owners decided to take off the Routt kit and put a standard jugg and pistons in it. Because it was too hard to kick over with High Compression pistons.I have a Routt jugg and 60 over pistons that will go with the auction,to put the bike back to its original 750 cc.The jugg has been honed out to the 60 over piston size and is ready to install.I rode this bike last summer and had no problems with it. I took it to a couple of bike night meets and it always got a lot of looks.The previous owner had some work done before I purchased the bike. The bike has new Tires,Battery plugs Points,carburetors were cleaned.That was about a year ago. I since have put on about 500 miles on the bike ,with no problems. The right hand muffler has a small ding in it along with a few scratches,see photo.The bike has the original rim,s on it which are in pretty good shape for a 41 year old bike.Also all the gauges and lights work. This bike came with a kill switch and it is still on the handle bars.The bike looks to never have been dropped and is in pretty much stock condition.Bike is available for inspection,email if you want to come over and look at it.I am not a Triumph expert but I have tried to describe this bike to the best of my knowledge of it.
