I bought this with intentions of restoring it. I have completely restored three other FJ40s over the years and this would be an excellent candidate for either a full blown rock crawler or a vehicle good for both on road and off road which is what I planned. To start it has an excellent running original engine with the popular DUI ignition conversion and headers. The transmission is the stock 4-speed and has a new clutch. Here is a list of some of the other upgrades and items that come with the vehicle as seen in the pics: -power steering conversion -cross over steering -spring over axle conversion -longer front springs and Jeep xj rear springs to get the stretch accomplished -Blue Torch Fab rear shackle hanger conversion -anti-wrap traction bar at the rear -6- point roll cage tied into the frame -Corbeau seats with 4-point harnesses tied into the cage -FJ60 tilt steering column -Optima battery with BTF holder -rear half doors for when the top is off -rear ambulance doors -extra front doors -aluminum simulated bead lock wheels with 37" Goodyears -Front axle is has open diff and 4:11 gears and Rear axle has an EZ-LOCKER with 4:11 gearing. -lots of extra parts I have accumulated over the years (in boxes on pallet) such as extra set of transfer case gears, misc brackets, throttle pedal, mirrors that attach to windshield frame when running without doors, shackles, etc. What does it need? The ignition is currently wired into a switch on the dash which bypasses most of the electrical items. It needs to be wired back into the column for all electrical to work. Has some rust like all do which I tried to show in the pics. Needs shocks front and back. My plan was to tear it down to the frame and build it up from there. Most of the hard work has been done on mechanicals. With some electrical work and shocks it could be put into use pretty quick. Lot's of options on what to do from here. I am selling all of this at what I know is a deal for someone to get into a nice FJ40 at a reasonable price. I have the title and it is free and clear of any liens. Feel free to ask any questions.
