Today you are looking at a 1992 Jeep Cherokee Laredo. This is a used vehicle that has had a lot of work put into it. It can be bought as a perfectly running vehicle if someone is willing to put a little elbow grease into it, & they’d have a great 4 wheel drive vehicle. We are also willing to sell it to someone looking for just the parts. Jeeps are known for running forever – 300,000 miles, at least! This one has 202,781 – but these are mostly highway miles, and it still runs like a charm. It will need to have some exterior work done to it - these are just normal wear and tear issues, and a small electrical issue. There is plenty of life left in this, but we have no real need for the vehicle. We have another Jeep Cherokee, a standard that is a few years younger, and we have two other 4WD vehicles in the yard. We would just like to see this one go to someone who could use and / or needs it, and appreciates all the work and effort put into it. This one we had originally bought and sold to a disabled friend of ours. Therefore, you can rest easy knowing it is safe. Our friend, sadly, had to have his feet amputated, and could no longer drive. We bought it back from him for $1,600.00. We’re willing to sell it for FAR LESS today. We just want to know all of the time and effort put into it wasn’t for nothing. This, again, is a 92 Jeep Cherokee Laredo. It is a powerful automatic with a Straight 6 (Cylinder), 4.0L High Output engine. It is in amazing shape under the hood. It runs smooth, and has NO transmission issues. It has had a lot of time put into it. It is a white, 4 door SUV, with burgundy interior. The inside is in amazing shape. Other than the headliner starting to detach itself, it has no interior issues. It looks as if it has either been well taken care of, or barely used. It also features power everything, including the windows, seats and doors – the radio and all speakers work, all gauges are working, and all panels and trim on the interior are in place and in great shape. It has had: 1. Oil Change 2. Radiator replacement 3. A NEW Throttle Sensor was installed. 4. Comes with 4 good tires and 1 full size spare in the trunk area. It is being sold with the steel rims (winter set), painted gray - however - if you purchase the vehicle via the buy it now option, we will also include the 4 original Laredo alloy rims, (summer set), free. 5. Front nose clip replacement - While in a parking lot, a truck backed up into it, cracking the fiberglass nose clip – so, we went to the junkyard, spent $100.00, and replaced the fiberglass nose clip with another – it is an original hood, off another Jeep, just in better shape – It is only a different color because we hadn’t had the time to paint it white yet – it is only the maroon part that had to be replaced. 6. New fuel filter installed. 7. Actually comes COMPLETE with WORKING wiper arm - unlike most of them! 8. Comes with the roof rack 9. Has great acceleration, and will purr all day. 10. Frame is in amazing shape. There are a couple of issues with the Jeep. They’re easily fixable, and won’t cost a fortune. The 2 issues are as follows: 1. When we bought the Jeep originally, we had cleaned out behind the door panels, and replaced them. However, when we originally sold it to our friend, someone he knows removed the outer lower trim panels, threw them out, and left it open to the elements - he was planning on a complete overhaul of the doors, then buying new trim panels. He got sick, and never got a chance to finish the job. This vehicle will need to have the doors fixed – and outer trim panels, if needed, will need to be purchased as well. Other than that, the rest of the body is in 100% inspectable with minor repair work, and in good condition. Even the rocker panels (the "Achilles heel" of Jeeps) are in amazing shape. No rust under the vehicle, in the rockers or anywhere else. 2. The only other issue we just started having is an issue with wiring, or it could be the alarm system. Some models of Jeeps came with an installed, extremely dysfunctional alarm system – This one suddenly started acting up a few weeks back. When this happens, it stops the fuel pump from pumping fuel to the vehicle – I can 100% assure you this has NOTHING to do with the vehicles ability to run, or with the motor, and is an easy fix – we just don’t have the time to do it. This Jeep has a mind of its own, it currently will start sometimes, and other times will not start. But we know it is not due to any problems with the motor, as we have had it running before. It is rather the problem with the alarm (maybe needing to be grounded.) or there is a simple short in the wire - I know someone out there knows exactly what I am talking about. This is a common problem among Jeeps. You'd need to have it towed, or have a car dolly to take it away on. As you can see in the pictures, we took pictures of the Jeep in the spring last year, before, during and after fixing it originally. This Winter, we made sure to include any and all pictures of the Jeep where certain areas were affected by the elements, (mostly the doors without the outer trim panels - that is what is missing in the new pics where you see the rust.) We also included pics where the Jeep was exactly the same - Its only really present on the lower doors. Other than that, it is still in great shape – and well worth the LOW reserve… FAR lower than what we bought it for!! Thanks for looking!
