Up for bids is my 1972 Chevy c30 Longhorn pick up. It has the original drivetrain still. Engine is a 350cid V-8, it has a four barrel quadrajet carb, I am told because this is a one ton truck with a manual transmission that the engine should have a steel crankshaft. I don't know this for sure. The transmission is a four speed manual with a super low first gear. This is a heavy duty trans with the shifter that goes directly into the top of the trans, not a light duty style with the shifter on the side of the trans. I also has power take off plated on the side so you could add a hydrolic pump of somthing of that nature to it. The rear end it a heavy duty full floating type. I do not know what the ratio is. This truck has leaf springs in the rear, not truck arms. The truck seems to be mechanically sound and lot drives and stops fine. The body is rusty at the bottom of the doors and fenders. Will need rockers and box sides, this truck has a nine foot box but I think the 8 foot box sides availble from the aftermarket will work because it seems it has extention pannels at the front of the box sides for that extra foot. Seems to be a very origanal truck. I bought it from the origianl owner who bought it new from Salisbury Chevrolet in Scotia New York that just closed a year or so ago.
