Vehicle Detail

Up for auction, my 1970 Chevrolet El Camino pickup. Arguably the most desire-able of all el camino's. Born in Van Nuys Ca. and raised in So-Cal, it has the original and often coveted California black license plates. It has a rebuilt NOM 350 motor with a mild cam and a rebuilt th350 transmission with a shift kit by previous owner. Runs great with plenty of power and attitude. I just replaced the interior with new O.P.G. dash pad, new door panels with new water shields, new arm rest pads, new carpet, new headliner, new visors, new seat cover and headrests, new window cranks and new storage box. (seat belts are original, black, and in great shape) Tilt wheel mechanism rebuilt so it is nice and tight. New Grant GT steering wheel. Just replaced ALL the door weatherstripping, including the vent window rubber, inner and outer window felts, window run channel and door surround rubber. New bed moldings, new grill moldings with new SS emblem, new headlight trim rings, new drip rail moldings, new wheel well moldings, and new rocker moldings. (I also have a new set of rear window moldings not yet installed.) New windshield, new cowl grills, new windshield wiper motor and Rain-X wiper blades. New suspension and brake system, including Eibach springs front and rear, Gabriel rear shocks, KYB front shocks, new drums, wheel cylinders, shoes and spring kit. New cross-drilled and slotted front rotors, new inner and outer wheel bearings, new brake pads, new spindles, new dust shields, front brake lines and brake hoses, new master cylinder, new proportioning valve, calipers, ball joints, tie rods, center link, and steering arm. Front end just aligned. New steering box, power steering hoses and power steering unit, new steering rag joint. New voltage regulator, new horn relay, new alternator, new 3 h.p. mini starter. New washable air filter and chrome air cleaner. New aluminum radiator over flow reservoir. New hood insulation, new fan shroud. New Tail light lenses, new backup lenses, and new front turn signal lenses. New O.P.G. front bumper. The exhaust sounds awesome, as it features headers with Flow-master 40 mufflers. They really rumble and get a lot of attention. It currently sports set of extremely rare 16" rally wheels(yes, 16") with Michelin tires. Stereo is a premium 6 speaker system with a Sony head unit and MB Quart component front speakers with crossovers and tweeters, and Pioneer rear speakers. Paint is a few years old, with nicks, scratches and imperfections as the truck is a daily driver, but still shines up nicely! (The most recent pictures were taken Feb. 1st, 2011.) The truck bed is in decent shape for a 41 year old truck, with minor dings and dents (and previous mounting holes for a bed cover and tie downs that are long gone). The bed would not require much to get it back to showroom condition in my opinion. ALL THE HARD WORK IS DONE ON THIS TRUCK!!! NADA value for this truck in good condition is $15K, Excellent condition $22k. It would not take much to turn this into a $22k vehicle. The only "negative" things i can see on the truck, it needs paint, as it is a few years old and has its' fair share of scratches and blems. The engine compartment could use some detailing, the flywheel ring gear is a little noisy on startup(early gm 350's require starter shims), the mufflers need tailpipes, as they exit in front of the rear differential, and no spare tire. The title is clean and clear and in hand. I take it to car shows just the way it is all the time, and get plenty of comments when driving around. I would drive this truck cross country(though gas would be expensive!), it has a nice ride, the engine runs cool. Car is located in Orange County California 92867. Payment by cash in person or wire transfer. No overseas buyers/shipping, period. I highly recommend an inspection of the car before you bid, IE: buyer to perform own due diligence.
